  • Better Than Average
Color: Blue
My son -in -law enjoys playing these older games with his kids. This one is above average for these type of handhelds. Games are separated into six categories making games easier to find, it has some games he and the kids have never explored before something they get a kick out of. Hooked up to the TV easily. The remote for the second player also works well. They have been having a blast with this system the only real down side are the games not in English, I am sure with time they will figure those games out as well. ... show more

  • Old School Handheld Game Console 🎮
Color: Red
The media could not be loaded. I got this for my newly turned 6 year old son. Some of the games I recognized and some I have never heard of. Many are too difficult for my son to play, even more difficult for me to play, haha. He still enjoys checking them out although I don't think it's something that he will stay interested in for long. This would be a great nostalgia gift though! 🎁 Comes with: •Handheld Game Console •Paddle for a second player (only some games and part of those are only in turns after the other player) 🎮 •USB charger cord •TV cord hookups •Instruction pamflet *For the price it's worth it if your going for a nostalgia gift🎁 ... show more

  • Better than you'd think!
Color: Red
I collect a lot of these bootleg rom-dump handhelds. I think that about 50-60% of them have the same informational structure; the same opening screen (and terrible soundtrack), the same junky games, the same lack of organization. This one is different. This system gives you six game categories to choose from instead of dumping you into a random list of 40 or so games, which is new. Choose from Action, Shooting, Sports, Casual, Puzzle, and Venture. They're broad categories but they work well enough. Bubble Bobble 2, Snow Bros, Bomber Man, four Double Dragons, MUSCLE... and then truly weird stuff like Eggs, where you're a robot that runs around the screen catching eggs that are tragically being laid by birds mid-air, and each time you catch one, a random animal appears on the screen, many of them with incorrect names. It's nonsense. It's great. Part of the fun is exploring weird junk. If you want all "real" games, there are other options out there. You even get stuff like Castlevania II in here, which is the worst Castlevania, but whatever. You won't find any higher end action/adventure games like Mega Man, Metroid, or Zelda, or anything beyond 8-bit. There are systems that cost more and run more complex emulators, so this one is extremely basic. The trade-off is that the system feels solid in your hands, has buttons that feel and respond better than most other systems, and I haven't found one glitchy game in here yet. Some are foreign language versions of games that were released int he US, and that makes them difficult to play sometimes, but that's pretty standard stuff. It may cost a little more than I'd expect to spend on a system this basic, but it excels at what it does. ... show more

  • it works!
Color: Red
I've been looking at several of these handheld game systems lately, and so far this one works better than any of the others that I've played with. The menus and everything are in English. It has its games divided into six categories, which makes finding the game you want to play a bit easier. There are quite a few games in the list that I do recognize from the old NES system, but I was left wanting more. ... show more

  • Not great, but does work
Color: D-black
The media could not be loaded. First off it comes with everything you need. RCA cables (if you have an older TV), USB charging cable, extra controller and game. The game does not need batteries as it comes with a re-chargable battery. The game is pre-loaded with 48 games. There are 6 catagories (Action, shooting, Sports, Causal, Puzzle & Venture) each with 8 games. Majority are asian games, but there were some that I remember in the arcade: Legend of Kage, Arkanoid, Street fighter, Super Contra, Galaga, Hyper Olympic (Hyper Sports), Dig Dug, & Ninja Garden. There is no directions, thus you need to figure out how to control the game. Hyper Sports, at first I was trying to hit two buttons to get the person to run, but they use the joystick to jump was impossible. Come to find out that you hold one button to run and they use the joystick to jump. Yes, this fixed the issue, but in my opinion deviated from what made this game challenging. In the video you get an idea of porting the video to a TV. The resolution isn't great, and you need most likely an RCA converter to HDMI for it to work with modern LED TVs now. ... show more

  • Poor design and lack of quality games, not very fun overall
Color: D-black
The media could not be loaded. Unfortunately I can't recommend this as a handheld mainly due to its construction and game selection. Like similar handhelds at this price point, it largely contains either reproductions of NES-era games or rom hacks of similar nature (which is usually par for the course for these types of devices). The games run fine and there's a handful of decent titles. The audio is serviceable albeit bare bones. The selection of games however is not very generous. 270 games may seem like a lot but there is a lot of unrecognizable shovelware mixed in with many favorites from the era missing as well. Games aside, the construction of this device leaves a lot to be desired. The screen bezels are much larger than advertised, leaving a smaller than expected screen. The face buttons on the right side are okay, not the best but serviceable. However the D-pad and analog thumb stick are pretty bad. The thumb stick feels slippery yet resistant and not precise feeling (had no luck using it during fighting games). You can also physically spin it without any effort. The D-pad feels very mushy as it can be fully pressed down in the center (a clear sign of a badly designed D-pad). And the same can be said for the included controller, which is also incredibly small in size. Even at its current price point, I wouldn't say that this device is worth considering despite its included features as it just isn't much fun to use. There are also many other ways to play retro games whether at this price point or higher. This doesn't really deliver. ... show more
