  • Best Dartboard by far!
Whether you are a dart pro or just like to occasionally throw a few darts with friends, this is definitely the best setup I have found. I've bought a lot of dartboards that I threw out. I love the feel and quality of hardtip boards but the missed darts destroyed my walls and I don't understand a lot of the games and how to track scores. Other electronic boards I bought you had to keep track of codes and was confusing. This one is all controlled by an app on a phone or tablet of your choice. The apps is super easy to use to pick your games, syncs flawlessly with your board, and keeps scores for you. Pro or a con depending on how you want to look at it but was kind of annoying that it isn't all included in 1 package as they brake everything out as options. I guess that saves you from spending money on options you may not want. I bought the laser line, darts, and quick mount kit that were all sold separately. Before I found this I almost spent $3500 on a stand up electronic bar style board, but am much happier with this and total with a lot of options for only around $500. ... show more

  • A great home board!
I moved from an Arachnid Cricket Pro board to the Gran Board 3S, and now that I've gotten everything sorted out we love it! The board is very quiet compared to the Arachnid; darts hold very well with every type of soft tip we've used. If you're interested in this board, learn from my trial & error phase......this board has a USB C power connector. At first I tried a phone charger that I had lying around which apparently was weak. The bluetooth connection would fail almost every time we threw a dart. As the LEDs in the board are quite active, they would draw enough power to kill the connection. (This is also maybe the cause of why people report failures to register hits-no bluetooth, no scoring possible. The bluetooth would always restore itself in a few seconds, but if a dart is thrown while bluetooth was inactive you're out of luck.) Bought a small power strip that has 5.0 amp USB power source built in; have not had a single loss of connection since and no incorrect registering of scores. There is the capability to have 8 in-person players. You can name the players, but if each person has the Gran Player app on their phone, it gives them the ability to keep their scoring averages, put a picture of the player up on the scoreboard, etc. All in all, I'm very happy with this board and would recommend it even if you don't ever plan to use the remote play capabilities. ... show more

  • Ah GranBoard
What a fractured market place electronic darts boards are. In it's realm, having a peek at the competition such as VDarts, I will say the construction is top notch. The backing materials on the GB3 are on par with the GB2. The GB3 features a wonderful set of lights around the edge that I basically don't use. For online/ai play it has a little benefit as the outer ring lights to indicate the general area the other player contacted. As with any electronic dart board be warned you cannot throw massive weighted darts at these things. I've seen pictures of the deformation that can happen if you hit them like a 200lb gorilla. I've been using 18 gram Piranha's myself and those are fine as soon as you throw/break the tips they were shipped with. L-style Premium Lippoint have been working fine and have enough flexibility they don't shatter when I throw poorly. The board works well, I did my home work on the dart weight and tips, so bounce out is generally only my fault. I also have the board mounted on a firm cabinet that I built. Having a solid mounting surface is important if you want your energy transfer to work correctly. Otherwise, like any surface capable of rejecting force, you will experience a pretty poor experience. The GB app is basically fine and it has a standard selection of games. I wasn't sure if I would like the camera as the backdrop of the play screen , but I've warmed up to the idea. My friend's play with their screen simulcast to an lcd set and for a smaller camera view it works well for their board. (vDarts). If you wanted to play vdarts with the GB this is a no go for modern boards. vDarts includes support for older GranBoards, but they did not add support for GB2+. Now, this is my major complaint and really a complaint for all electronic dart boards. They operate on all the same mechanics and BLE/BD standards, but every application developer hard codes the device identifier. It would be nice if they settled on a standard and worked towards that. Most of the low end boards are the same physical device, but again with the individual identifiers. In closing, GranBoard wins on quality, but comes a second or third in the application space. If you are fine living in the same ecosystem with me then this board is a delight. ... show more

  • Good board but expensive
Overall, I really enjoy the Gran Board 3. Friends have come over and we have played regularly (we use 16 gram darts, have used 18 gram, but nothing higher). Overall, I strongly recommend, but there are a few things to know. Pros * Software interaction is great, easy to use, can control the lights and the small features like only lighting up certain numbers while playing cricket * Very quiet board, especially compared to some of the other more expensive boards * Very sleak design, not a lot of frills or extras visually Con * Cricket maxes out at 4 people The cricket issue of max 4 players annoys me as it is just software, please change it to max 8 players. I have written the manufacturer and no response. Hopefully this can be fixed in future software updates. ... show more

  • By far the best home board you can buy.
This board sets the bar for home dartboard. With the online capability, compact deaign and sound deading, it far exceeds anything that I've ever throw at home. The only downfall is the instructions are not the best because they have clearly been translated from Japanese to English and don't always make sense. Also their website is not the best either but it seem to be getting better and better as time goes by. Makes playing at home very fun. ... show more
