The case is bigger than I thought, but that's a good thing in the event I drop it then there's thicker layers of protection around the slabs (foam, metal casing). I sleeve my slabs -- PSA -- in perfect-fit sleeves and they fit very nearly perfectly in the rows. They don't feel cramped or squeezed by the foam on either side and can pretty easily be moved, but the blocks of foam used as stoppers in the rows that you can use if you don't fill the entire row with slabs does stay firmly in place even with the case picked up and moved. The metal isn't the most sturdy, it's just aluminum, but I have a case with an aluminum shell that I've had for years and it's held up well. Because of the material, the case likely dents somewhat easily, but not severely, as was the instance for the other case I have of the same material and design, and everything inside was perfectly fine. I don't use the lock feature since it feels very flimsy and I don't see the latches coming undone on their own. Maybe if I use them a lot over the years they'll loosen up, but I've used cases with similar latch designs that loosened from use over time and even when dropped they didn't pop open so I'm not too worried. There is a strong factory smell inside the case when you open it, but I found leaving the case open at least a crack for a few days really helps make the smell fade. This isn't waterproof or airtight, but I don't care about that too much as this is more for storage in my room than anything else and transportation when/if I move. It’s made pretty soild but the foam dividers don’t stay that well so the graded cards flop front. But all and all it does keep them safe and stored pretty well. Giving it a 4 star cuz I had to add extra to it to get them to stay in spot.

I been looking for days for the right case for my slabs and expensive cards. I leaned towards this one and got it and couldn’t wait for it to get here. The box is lightweight and the lock and key is decent. The hinges feel pretty cheaply made. The cards fit nicely, the foam pieces are snug to keep carbs separated. The main thing I dislike with the box is when you close it and lock it, and go to pick up the box. The cards fall over inside. If there were more foam pieces to completely fill in the empty spaces then it wouldn’t move around in the box. ... show more
