  • The Bently of Pack 'n Plays
My partner and I had been eyeing a few different pack 'n Plays. This one popped up on the Black Friday deals this year (2017). Normal price $250, got it for $119. Overall, I'm incredibly happy with it so far (note: baby hasn't been born yet, so we haven't used it. If my opinion changes, I'll update the review). Definitely worth the $119. I would also say it's worth the $250 given the features, I wouldn't have had the $250 to spend on it, but if I did, it's definitely worth it! Delivery: was very quick. I ordered it on Friday morning and it was delivered the next day (Saturday). Assembly: was very easy. No tools needed, everything snaps together. Only complaint is similar to what others say, instructions a sub par. But between what is in there and looking at the pics here, it was easy to do. Done in <20 mins. Once put together, it is VERY easy to flip the bassinet, to take it out to use independently, it is also very easy to raise and lower the mattress area. Mobility: we have hard wood floors, so it easily moves from room to room as needed. I presume it would be similarly easy on carpet as it is not very heavy. Features: awesome. I LOVE that the bassinet comes out. This alone is an awesome travel feature. Especially for short visits to family. Instead of loading the whole contraption, just bring the bassinet and baby has a place to sleep :) also, the tunes and vibration options are more than adequate. Additionally, the mobile is a great touch as well. Color/Theme: true to the pics shown. Black, gray and off white. Its a neutral theme that falls in line with our car seat and stroller. Quality: while it hasn't been used yet, I noticed no questionable seems, parts or joints. Everything looks in tip top shape. ... show more

  • Absolutely great, but difficult to assemble
Quality is wonderful, I love the versatility of the available bassinet/napper. The bassinet and napper are super soft and cozy. This was one of my “must have” items on my registry and I’m excited to use it. Every baby needs a safe place to sleep, play, and change diapers, this playard does all of that and more. However, putting this thing together was a pain! My husband was at work and I was too excited to leave it in the box until he got home, so I embarked on this journey by myself. Big mistake. The instructions are worthless (I mean, read them for the safety notes and all of that), but do yourself a favor and find the video on YouTube of the couple putting this thing together and follow their instructions instead. The printed instructions didn’t mention inserting a very key part of the bassinet and I ended up having to take the thing apart and fixing it later. It took me almost two hours to figure everything out, and I’m usually very handy and build things regularly with no problems. Once I found the video, it took hardly any time at all. I don’t know what the rules are for posting links to videos on reviews, but the video is titled, “Graco Pack N’ Play Nearby Napper: How to Assemble” and it’s posted by YouTuber Katherine Hart. Read the instructions for the safety information, watch the video for actually assembling it. :) ... show more

  • but am happy to report ours sits level both in and outside ...
The media could not be loaded. This thing is incredible! I am currently pregnant with my 4th child. We gave away all our baby furniture after #3, so we had to buy all new. We are somewhat minimalist, so the fact that this one item has so many features and uses was a big selling point for us. The bassinet/rocker combo was a major selling point for us. I was worried after reading reviews that some bassinets sit at an angle, but am happy to report ours sits level both in and outside of the playyard. I am so glad we spent the extra money to buy this playyard over the more basic ones. The bassinet took some work to assemble as the instructions aren't great for that, but my husband and I were able to figure it out relatively stress free, it just takes some thought and comparing what you have to the product photos. The only thing we don't totally love is the mobile. It makes a pretty loud mechanical noise when turned on, which I am skeptical about a baby falling asleep listening to, but we'll see! Other than that, we are very happy with this purchase. This is definitely a high quality playyard and we look forward to putting it to good use! ... show more

  • Instructions are in a pocket on the back of the pad!
Love all of the features of this pack and play! Assembly Assembly was a little difficult for me, because I could not find the instructions and had to figure it out without them (my own fault!). A week later I was explaining the features to my 7 year old daughter, and found the instructions in a pocket on the back of the pad. I was so excited to get it put together that I somehow missed seeing them there! Changing Station I love that this model includes braces to make the changing station more sturdy. The one I had for my daughter 8 years ago did not have these, and worried me because the changing area would lean under her weight. Bassinet/Rocker The bassinet/rocker does have a slight movement from side-to-side, but at this point it does not bother me much. We will see how it does when my little man arrives in March! Mobile The noise from the mobile does not bother me, we'll see if it bothers little man when he comes. The one thing that does bother me is that the mobile is not very secure and has A LOT of movement when using the rocker feature. I plan to just remove the mobile when using the rocker feature. ... show more
