I used this petticoat underneath a skirt that I made and it was just the right amount of poof! Definitely not a big ball gown, but gives a little bit of lift to a skirt so it doesn't just hang flat. Shook this out and it was ready to wear. I am 5'5" with a 31" inseam, and this doesn't go to my ankle, but a couple inches above it.
