I like the color of the dress and the fit. i’m 5’7, 137 pounds and I got a size small. Fits perfect. The dress will come very wrinkled so it’s important to either have a steamer on hand or buy one with the dress. I also ironed the ribbon belt that comes with it and it ironed well.     • Didn’t work for me, looks frumpy

Not totally sure why, but this dress misses the mark on me. I am 5’4” and about 160lbs, heavier around the middle than I’m used to these days. I ordered the medium in green. The sizing is perfect, but this dress is very boxy. Er, frumpy might be a better word. The thin elastic and belted waist cinches and helps a very little bit to define the area, but doesn’t do enough. I feel like a flat 1-2” wide elastic band around the middle would have worked so much better to define the waist, differentiate between the top and bottom, and made the whole look more feminine and flowy. It is also very long on me, just above my ankle. So it has this very Grecian look to it, and is bottom heavy. I was looking for something in case I need to go to church with my husband’s family, or have a wedding to attend. The long length reads more evening than summer wedding to me. It might feel more balanced if it actually was a midi length. The color is beautiful, but the fabric is weird. It’s not silky, it reminds me of a thin version of the fabric umbrellas are often made of. I think the only people that could carry this off would be very tall and very slender. Between the fabric and fit, I just don’t think this is a great style for very many people. ... show more
