So, I google, "what's the best wood glue" guess what comes up. There are actually currently 3 top wood glues out there, I've used all 3. I do a lot of woodwork, especially outdoor furniture, camping, boating equipment, etc. I noticed through many projects that Gorilla wood glue provides a much superior bond, especially for outdoor projects. I made a canoe dolly out of pressure treated wood three years ago. This dolly is continuously outdoors, great lakes area, so rain, snow, freezing ect. The bond on this dolly looks like I built it 2 days ago, and the seams are holding like a rock. I now buy Gorilla glue by the gallon. keep it up! thanks ... show more

This is my second purchase and you can bet there will be a third and fourth. I absolutely love this product. It is easy to work with, forgives minor mistakes (like misalignment) and just as easy to clean up when spilled. My favorite feature is its strength (I'm not sure stating that was necessary). I've never had a joint or bond failure with this glue and I find myself reaching for it even when other glue types would better fit the bill. Case in point is a stapler handle that came apart. For some reason Surebonder chose metal and plastic for the handle, then attached the two with screws. Since it is not unusual for a wire stapler to suffer light punishment over time, the screws and plastic naturally parted ways. I think epoxy would have been a better option, but I poured a thick layer of this glue into the handle mold and a few days later it solidified. That was years ago and to date the bond is still solid. It is a wood glue first and foremost but I find other uses. Someone mentioned here its use on cardboard boxes and I can attest that it works well. Cardboard, after all, is wood fiber. Tbh, I almost went with the Elmer's as it was the cheaper option. I've also used it in the past with great results. The difference - and this is important to me - was that the Gorilla glue is suitable for exterior applications as well. The Elmer's was interior only, with the exterior version costing significantly more (on that day anyway). So that feature sealed the deal and there are no regrets. For its intended application, one can't go wrong with this item. Like I stated above, it is not my first purchase and short of me getting both hands glued up, it likely wont be my last. ... show more
