These have only been worn 1 day, but they are really great. Read the size chart, and the fit should be fine. I'm 5'6" and weigh 165. The large fits very nicely. I usually wear my shirt tail out, but it works tucked in. The pants have enough give that a pair of thin long johns will go underneath if the weather turns cooler. I plan to use these as my "airplane" pants. Not a fan of jogging suits or similar. The 4 way stretch fabric seems like it will remain comfortable on very long haul flights. I actually bought these for a safari in Africa coming in the spring. Great on the plane and also on the sandy/dirty back roads that we have experienced on previous trips. After wearing them a few more times and running through the washer and dryer, other colors will be added to my travel wardrobe. I always pack a change of clothes in my carryon, and these would be perfect. They weigh very little and fold up into a small package. Add a polo shirt or nice tee, and I have another outfit just in case my suitcase doesn't make it with me to my destination. I bought these pants for travel. I liked the large zippered pockets (iPhone plus fits easily), and the quick dry material. I wanted something I could wash in the hotel sink and air dry overnight, and not wrinkle. These pants do all that. I bought both a size small and a size extra small. I've washed the size small pants several times. There isn't much shrinkage. The directions say line dry. The first time I hung them outside in 75 degree weather. The pant legs were dry in a couple of minutes. The waist area with the pockets took longer, but they were completely dry within a hour. They don't seem to wrinkle. I've accidentally put the size small pants in the dryer with other clothes twice now. They came out fine. SIZING My waist is around 30 and my hips around 37. I weight about 115. I was unsure which size to buy, so my first purchase was a size small and my second purchase was an extra-small. The description says ITEM measurements are -------------------------------------- x-small, waist 25 to 27, hips 37.5 small, waist 27.5 to 29.5, hips 40 ——————————————————— I laid the pants out flat and measured the unstretched waistband right to left then doubled that measurement to come up with the circumference. I measured the hips the same way at the widest area close to the crotch. This is what I measured. ————————————- x-small, waistband 27 inches, hips 39. small, waistband 29 inches, hips 41. That is close to the item description. I can wear both sizes. The small is a little big in the waist and hips. Without a belt they slip down a little. The extra-small fits my waist better. I don't need a belt. They are tighter in the hips, and I can clearly see the outline of my iPhone plus in the front pocket of the extra small pants, but they are still comfortable. I’ve purchased 2 pair of these for summer hiking, in different sizes - one large and one medium. I’m a bit pear shaped and generally wear size 10 or 12 pants. I bought the large hiking pants first. They fit ok, but were a little baggy. So, when I decided I needed a second pair, I got medium. They also fit ok, but are a bit tighter than I’d like. I can, and will, wear both pair, but think the large is the more comfortable fit. Otherwise, I like that these are lightweight with a couple of really nice, deep pockets and long enough to hit the tops of my hiking shoes. They wash and dry well too. I wore these pants during two days of hiking in the mountains. They packed well, didn't wrinkle and were very comfortable to hike in. I don't know how they will hold up to years of use, but so far I'm really happy with my purchase. The front pockets comfortably hold a phone or your hands to warm them up. They were warm enough for hiking on days that ranged from 35-60 degrees F, but I didn't get the impression that they'd be uncomfortably warm on a warmer day. I initially ordered Amazon's suggested sizing (M) but they were way too big. I returned for a size small, which fit relatively well (might have been able to size down even). Bought this a few days prior to my Utah National Parks trip. The XS fit me well except for the length which was about 3-4 inches too long. For reference, I’m 5’1”. I ended up hemming them and wore it to Arches National Park. I wish it came in petite sizes.

See update below. A lot of these sun protective pants can be really frumpy. Not these! Nice and sleek. Slim legs. No bulk. True to size. I did have to have them shortened but now that the length is right, they are very flattering. I bought additional ones - even had some converted into shorts since I love the fit. Highly recommend. I’m 5’4, 135 lbs. I purchased a small. Update - downgrading from a 5 to 4 star. The beige pants pocket have come apart in 2 separate pants. Unfortunately, one was a brand new pair I gave to a tailor without inspecting to be shortened, appears to have been delivered with torn pocket. The other beige pair pocket came apart in first washing. The side pocket is glued down, not stitched. My wonderful tailor is going to try and repair - at a cost. Given this happened with 2 beige pants, it appears to be a manufacturing defect. Buyer beware. Inspect closely before wearing. This has not happened with other colors, only the beige but I am concerned it is only a matter of time before this happens with the other colors. Like the comfort of the pants. Fabric is nice, thin and comfortable in a variety of temperatures. Water repellant. Pockets are nice. Little baggy in the front which was ok but not desirable. Biggest problem was probably wore them less than dozen times over last year and they are falling apart.
