We did the Dino family! We had a blast!!! It did fit a little small for me but expected as it’s sold for 5.2 and I’m 5.6. I was worried the 6ft would be too big for me.. lesson learnt! The little one will have it when he’s bigger!!

This costume is great because it leaves your entire upper body free, so it's not hot or all that bothersome. It is a little bit awkward having this giant inflatable T rex in front of you, but I still find this a lot less annoying than having a stifling mask on. Everyone seems to think this thing is hysterical. It got a really positive reaction and a lot of laughs, based on the small amount of people who happened to be around when it arrived at least. I'm a pretty fat guy, about a 40-inch waist, and I was still able to wear this without any squeezing or issues. It can be hard to find fat friendly costumes, so that was a big plus. For those that haven't ever seen one of these, I'll quickly explain how inflatable costumes work. They're made from a VERY lightweight material, and they weigh next to nothing. You can shove the whole thing in a small bag the size of a large purse when you're done. They come with a little battery pack that powers a pocket-sized fan, which goes in a little hidden (sort of) stash pocket down by the side of your leg. The pocket allows air flow to the fan because it's mesh, and the fan inflates the costume around you like a balloon. You plug the holes in the balloon with your waist and two feet, which have drawstrings to pull tight and allow the balloon to inflate. The inflator fan runs the entire time you wear the costume, and it's not as annoying as it seems like it would be. It's very quiet, but you do still hear a gentle hum, and some people might be hyper aware of it and find it irritating. It requires 4 AA batteries for the fan/inflator thing, and they are NOT included. I hate that. Overall though, still a more than passing grade from me. This is exactly what you think it is. It looks kind of goofy and it’s good for Halloween parties. It’s probably better for outdoor parties since there’s a lot of dinosaur in front of you and a lot of tail behind you (no sudden turns near the Ming vase, please) and, as it’s always inflating and the fan is always running, it’s pretty loud indoors. I read that some think it’s too hot to wear in warm weather - I don’t see that. The fan also moves the air pretty well. It’s not difficult to walk in per se but, as I noted, you do have to be careful when turning. That said, no one who I whipped with my tail got upset. It doesn’t hurt and they all just thought it was funny that I can’t walk straight in a kids costume. You can use it with 4 AA batteries but it connects via a USB cable so I found it’s just easier to use a rechargeable USB power pack. Whatever you use, put the power pack in the pocket so it’s not just hanging there. It has elastic straps that run across the bottom of your foot to keep the legs down and in place, i.e., so they don’t ride up your leg. I recommend you put on the costume before you put on your shoes. That way the elastic straps are inside your shoes and you're not wearing them out with every step. But don’t inflate it before you put on your shoes because, well, you get the picture. ... show more
