I was excited to see this set of building blocks aimed at girls. My granddaughter eyed them as soon as she walked in and was really excited to get them open and start building. There are a lot of blocks in this kit, with a number of bright colors and many different shapes. The window openings have some insert pieces that will fit into them to add to your designs. She was excited to find a little girl and boy figure that she will be able to use in her castles. Included with the set is a well made color booklet with lots of illustrations. Some are simple and just show possible designs to make. The ones I like are the illustrations that tell you what pieces are needed for a given building. Nice to have the guidance and ideas to help a young girl on her building journey. Did notice a little roughness in some of the windows; not sharp, but rough. These magnets are so good for the price! I’ve tried cheaper magnets before but they were flimsy and the magnets didn’t stick well together. Yet these magnets have strength to it and they’re pretty sturdy when building, so it gives room for creativity! You can make so many different things, and I love the variety of different magnets you get in the set. We would purchase again. I did feel like the plastic pieces would break easily if under the wrong kind of play intentions. Glad I waited to give to older kids due to it being more user friendly for them, 6-10. My 6 yr old twins need help to click the tubes but have loved it!
