So far day 1 these are perfect. My daughter has only skated once before and is picking it up right away. For reference she just turned 11 years old wears a 4 1/2 shoe and I purchased the large and they fit right out of the box with no adjustments needed. They are very pretty my favorite is the light up wheels. She says they are very comfortable. They are the same style as ice skates. They have laces and a latch. These are more expensive than ones I saw at local stores (that were not her size) but I can tell the quality and comfort on these is what you are paying for so I would definitely buy again very worth the price. I know this is only Day 1 so if anything changes I will update but I think they will hold up fine. ... show more

Really make sure you understand this companies shoe size chart. I bought the wrong size even though it was labeled the size I needed. If these skates are for your kid definitely order the small ones. Even if they are pre teen. Don't think the medium or the large is for any child. Other than that these skates are fabulous. Got this for our 9 year granddaughter. Easily adjusts to foot size and to put on. Pull strap from rear ensures snug fit and two Velcro straps along top makes taking off and on a breeze. Bought this for my 3 year old. She has a size 10 toddler foot and it fit perfect on the smallest size. I think any smaller than that the foot will not be sturdy enough and can lead to an accident. The laces could have been smaller and the top strap shouldn't be twisted around the inside of the boot so I pulled it out but that's the only issue. They are colorful and adjustable so it'll grow with her. They are 4 wheels to help with balance. She likes them a lot and spent a good while playing with them. I bought these for a 6 year old so she could learn to skate. They support her ankles and feet (wear longer socks that cover the ankles), and she thinks they're comfortable. They are well constructed, too. Two days later, she was whipping around the skating rink on her own. Even better...with the light up wheels, I can identify her from all the other skaters. The only reason I gave them 4 stars for beginners is because I wish we could tighten the wheels so she would have had more control when first using them. Overall, great skates. Granddaughter is almost 7 and they fit well. She loves the color (extra hugs for that). Highly recommend.

My daughter really wanted skates for Christmas. She found a pair with light up wheels and put them at the top of her list. They were the ones that are sold by lots of different sellers with different color schemes. You can tell in the pictures they are all the same besides their color because they are the exact same build with the exact same parts. I was fine with getting those but they were only available in small and medium. Not wanting her to have to settle for skates that didn't look like the ones she wanted I started looking at all the girls skates I could find on Amazon. Luckily these were very similar and were made in a large size. She loves them and wears them a lot ... show more
