I am 51 and I've always hated jeans. But they were a necessary evil my whole life. In the 80's it was all about TIGHT jeans and stretch was unheard of--so jeans were always uncomfortable for me. Even when I was thinner. But as a horseback rider and a young woman who wanted to be "cool", I wore jeans a lot anyway. Then in the 90's there was one brand of stretch jeans--but they were so baggy looking and never helped me look good--and they didn't really stretch at the waistband--the button still always dug into my belly. Then the last few years I've been buying jeans again and they are just about all stretch jeans now. I've gotten a couple of semi-comfortable pairs that I could tolerate. But all mid-rise because you can't hardly find anything else on Amazon. And they were HOT. Most of the stretch heans are not for me for Summer. And I finally found THESE and another brand that are SO comfortable it's like wearing pajamas! And they actually look good! Fit is just right on me, no pinching at the wasit and no gapping. Not too baggy on the leg and nice fall down to the ankle. The bottom hem of these falls right to the bottom of the heel. With shoes on they are perfect and classy looking. The only thing I don't like is the dark color. I would love a pair in a lighter denim color but they don't have any in my size. :( ... show more

It's difficult for people like me to find jeans that fit the way we like them to. I have a few pair that are low rise and I can't stand them. The low rise jeans today are not like the hip huggers we wore as teens. But, I'm ranting. And telling my age. These actually fit very nicely and won't slide down and show any crack if you squat down. And they aren't like some of my other jeans that , for some reason, the manufacturers thought we have skinny waists and huge butts and thighs. Not that some people don't but I'm not one of them. These jeans fit like a normal person needs them to fit. The stretch is nice and makes them very comfortable. So no need to grab the pliers to zip your jeans up. Good day. ... show more

I like that these jeans are high waisted--this is perfect. What I don't like is how scratchy they are compared to my other soft jeans. I would say on a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the softest jean, they are a 5. The material is not as bad as the worst in scratchiness, but I love the feel of very soft jeans next to my skin, and these do not fill the bill. Since I love that they are truly high waisted, I decided to keep them and just wash them a ton, hoping that they will soften up. They run true to size. I wear a 10 (occasionally an 8) and these are very close to a 10 in the waist--maybe a little bit on the big side-- but they are a little baggy in the hips for me (I do not have large hips). ****Update******Yessss! I ordered another pair which was the black rinse., I I really like these jeans, I can dress them up or dress them down but they are the perfect length and the perfect fit I am 5' 6" and 145 lbs and these fit so nice. I normally don't mention my size but I included my weight and measurements in case someone has to know how they fit if they have the same. These jeans are not the skinny jeans for teeny boppers like you see in the stores, these have the nice fit for ladies over 40 years old. I have been wearing mid rise for years,sometimes not always good if you bend over,high rise good if you are a little thicker there a little snug, wash cold air dry or hang dry,good quality.

High rise boot cuts are the only jeans that fit my body type (small waist, big booty and thighs, small calves). Unfortunately I can't find them in a lot of stores because they're not "in". These fit great. For reference, I bought a size 10. I am 5'4", 155 lbs.
