The doll looks great and I'm sure the girl I bought it for will love it! All the parts were there. The only complaint I have is a safety issue. The package is printed with a soy based ink, while this is fine for most people some people(including some of my family) are allergic to soy(it's considered a major allergen) . Her hair is silky soft, i wish they had not put her hair in loose ponytails because it left bumps and hair tye marks in it. Maybe eventually that will even out until then we will deal with it, Otherwise the doll is very cute and has a pretty pink outfit on with her Jellie sandals. She does stand up however, the right leg does seem to be a little shorter than the left leg, and the right leg turns in a wee bit as well but she is still able to stand up without any assistance. This doll was purchased so that she could sit astride one of the horses I have but I don't see how she could sit astride as the legs are very tight together and hips don't adjust for sitting on a horse. I have seen pictures of these Dolls sitting on a horse but not sure how they did it. No problem she is still a very pretty little doll and reasonably priced. Would purchase again. Probably going to change the name as Fifer is to weird, I think I will keep it close to that and rename her Piper. Had to hve her she has a cat on her T-Shirt. ... show more

    • Beautiful, Affordable Doll with One Thing to Note…

I was looking for attractive, affordable dolls for my girls who aren’t really interested in dolls but had asked for some to play tea party with. Since I had one of the more expensive 18” dolls when I was a kid, I admittedly have rather high standards and wasn’t about to settle for something odd or unrealistic looking. However, I also didn’t want to spend an arm and a leg on dolls that may or may not be played with. The Glitter Girl series from Battat was everything I had hoped for. One major plus is that they have so many different hair and eye color combinations to choose from, and I was able to pick 2 dolls that resembled my girls. The dolls arrived packaged well in their own boxes and are beautiful. Their arms and legs move well, and their hair and eyes are very attractive. I also like that there are additional outfits and accessories available to purchase should there be interest in such things. Now the ONE THING TO NOTE: I don’t love that the coloring varies from what you see online. The complexion of the dolls I received are not the porcelain white skin tone pictured but both seem to have a tan. For the price I paid, I don’t mind too much, but that was a bit of a surprise. I actually checked to see if I made a mistake when I ordered. The green eye color is also more of a light green with perhaps flecks of gray or light brown and not a deep green. Fifer is adorable. I really like the outfit she came in. All the Glitter girls come in nice clothes but her suit is particularly nice right down to the decal on her shirt. I got her to model a summer dress from Emily Rose (a doll clothes company I really like) and she's perfect. I really like her and I recommend these dolls for any little (or big) girl. ... show more

My 7-year-old daughter was requesting another American Girl Wellie Wisher doll, but specifically wanted a doll with hair she could style. I was looking for a 14" doll that would be compatible with the Wellies and I'm so glad I found these new Glitter Girls. Battat really got the look and design right with their posable Glitter Girl collection. This doll is a Christmas present, so it hasn't been opened or played with yet. Her eyes are a unique light green and the lashes are a nice touch (a little dark in color for a blonde). Her outfit comes with a lot of pieces (bow, shirt, cardigan, skirt, leggings, shoes) and seems well made with quality materials. One thing that surprised me was the darkness of her complexion. Her skin color is much darker in person than my daughters' Wellies and Disney princess dolls. It looks like she has a tan and reminds me of my Malibu Barbie from childhood. Its not a deal breaker for me since I'm mostly buying for the hair, but there is a clear difference between the Amazon photos and what I received. Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase and can't wait to hear what my daughters think. I really like the price compared to spending $60 on a Wellie Wisher, and will definitely be purchasing more Glitter Girls and accessories in the future. 11/15/2020 UPDATE: My daughter LOVES this doll and plays with it daily. The Glitter Girl's hair is fun to style, and still in great shape after almost 2 years. With a wired doll brush and water spray we have NOT had a problem with hair coming out. The doll is easy to dress, which prevents damage to it's clothes and allows for more independent play. The only thing missing is underwear. My daughter borrows the Wellie's underwear when dressing the doll in skirts and dresses. Underwear would be a nice addition or accessory pack in the future. Last Christmas we added the horses, stable and several outfits to our families GG collection. This year we will be getting 2 new dolls and some more outfits. I highly recommend Glitter Girls! Durable, easy to dress and reasonably priced for little kids (age 3 to 7). Fun, creative play for older girls who like to style hair, outfits and pose dolls (age 8+). ... show more

Glitter Girls are beautiful dolls with lovely hair and adorable outfits that can be easily swapped between dolls. However, their arms and legs don't really bend, so this shouldn't be advertised as a major feature.
