  • Great but not perfect.
Size: OH 75: 6 ft. Configuration
We bough this for a commercial project and needed an overhead camera angle. The kit is built well and definitely worth the money. The only con for me was that we couldn’t lock down the mounts to our standard light stand. It was very wobbly and we made sure to warn everyone on set.

  • Game changer!
Size: OH 75: 6 ft. Configuration
We needed a way of doing social media videos from above, similar to a tasty cooking video. In the past we used ceiling mounted mirrors using reflection to create video and photos. We mounted steel pipe from the ceiling and then used the mount system. It made shooting quick and easy! We were able to loosen the clamp and slide along the pipe to create different angles. The mount is sturdy and strong holding even our heavy video camera! Great product! ... show more

  • Great on a stable table
Size: OH 75: 6 ft. Configuration
Easy to set up, but no matter how tight you get the upright supports if the table moves, the camera will shake. Great for photos, have to be careful to not shake the table if you’re making videos.

  • It works great!!
Size: OH 75: 6 ft. Configuration
Absolutely a must have for mounting the camera vertically. The stands are pretty traditional, and I would prefer heavier stands.

  • Connection points great. Bar not so much
Size: OH 75: 6 ft. Configuration
The piece that attaches to the top down camera and the mounting points on the left and right side are high quality. While I understand the practicality of a collapsible bar and I like the implementation, the quality of the bar leaves something to be desired. Do I trust it to work until I get a real steel bar? Sure. Do I trust it to work for years to come? Sure do not. Personally I wish glide gear would just sell the pieces of hardware separately without the bar, but if you’re just tossing a light camera/webcam up there, I wouldn’t mind. It’s just not a solution for full frame with heavy glass IMO. Too much bending ... show more

  • Great value and can easily be adapted for light stands
Size: OH 75: 6 ft. Configuration
This is a fantastic value and I found that this adapter https://amzn.to/3mEh4Qv makes light stands compatible with this system. The supplied rail isn't super sturdy but it easily accommodates something studier. A little tape around the brackets softens and rugs the grips nicely. Don't let the bad review fool you - this can be easily adapted to something fantastic a variety of needs. ... show more

  • Macro Photography Solution
Size: OH 75: 6 ft. Configuration
I'm so glad I took a chance on this overhead camera rig. It has really improved my macro photography shots. I don't feel like my heavy Canon DSLR is going to fall like I did with a tripod mount. Solidly built. I use it on backdrop stands I already owned.

  • Great concept, but far from perfect ... here's my feedback
Size: OH 75: 6 ft. Configuration
The media could not be loaded. Okay, I WANT to like this thing, however, here are my issues: - Why don't the clams have some sort of rubber mold to follow the shape of the pipe that it comes with? Wouldn't it make more sense than having an octagon shape knife blade digging into a hollow pole only at certain points, rather than hugging the pole? If you tighten too much, I can easily see this digging into the pole that it came with. - It says " easily connect to your tripods or c-stands" ... however, from the video, you can see it doesn't 'easily' connect, and I have about as standard as a light stand as they make (nothing fancy or proprietary). - It's not a 6' pole - it's three, 2' sections held together by a bungee rope and clips. At first, I was excited, thinking I can customize this by making it 4', or even 2' for a tight workspace (like on a desk or something), but nope ... you have 3 poles connected together to make it 6'. The connections just make it that much more flimsy. - The screw in bolts feel like there's sand in the threads ... very rough, nothing smooth about it at all. - Overall, again, I like the concept, but as you can see from the video - would you trust putting an expensive camera on this thing? Given the price - I expected something MUCH better than what I received. If it was half of the price or if it actually fit and gripped properly, I wouldn't be complaining. I hope this helps someone make a sound decision. ... show more
