I take product photography (mostly disc golf discs) and this light box is a nice upgrade from my previous setup. My products are pretty shiny/reflective so I have a few annoyances but overall this lightbox works great. Setup is straightforward and after you do it once or twice it's pretty quick. The box is reasonably rigid once everything's folded out. I like that there's plenty of wire for the LEDs and that you can unplug any of the panels for some directional lighting if you want. The light is diffused well through the fabric and measures around 5200K. The backdrops are smooth and provide a variety of shot looks. I wish they were double-sided so they could include more variety or reduce the amount of backdrops to store. Things I didn't like: the velcro at the seams is black, but the box interior is white. There are flaps at the back left and right corner to cover this up, but there are no flaps at the front corners (if you put the front reflective cover on) and no flaps at the top (if you put the top diffuser on). This is distracting in reflections. Similarly, the front flap is silver and reflective except for the hole you shoot through, which has black binding around the edge (and black thread stitching, which isn't as bad). I modified my front cover by applying aluminum flashing tape to the inside of the cover and along the front seams. The removable lens flap is nice, but as I shoot with an iPhone I don't need such a big opening. I was also able to sort of 'snoot' down the opening much smaller so that less of the 'black void' of the opening is visible in the reflection off my objects. Finally, the end of the promo video on this page shows the lightbox being used for videos. In my experience this works "okay" as long as you're using the lights at full brightness and for relatively short clips. You may experience flickering due to LEDs being dimmed via PWM. ... show more
