A great instrument. The reasonace and tone make it fun to play. Not as bright as a good wooden violin, but super durable and a great fill in when the weather is an issue. Tuning is easy and it holds very well. I liked the Larson strings mine came with but found the tone even fits better with obligato. Mine came with a carbon fiber bridge and I LOVE that. I don't see others selling with the same bridge anymore. They should! It's awesome. Weighs 2-4 ounces more than the average good violin. A small trade off for all the good aspects.     • The future of student violins
I eventually returned mine because I don't think violin playing is for me, but the fit and finish of this is amazing. A very skilled violinist who wanted to teach me was very impressed with it. A lot of places in the USA have a 30 or even 50 degree temperature swing every 24 hours, making caring for a wooden violin difficult at times. This one would be much less of a problem. It should be a first choice for those who travel around by RV, boat, hitching, etc. ... show more

I finally have the violin that I have wanted all my life. I sold the rest of my beloved instruments. The Glasser is an indestructible, powerhouse, with the slickest sound ever.

    • It looks and plays like a quality item
I’ve had it only one day and I like it a lot. The geared pegs are great. Hardly need the fine tuners. I like the tone. Rich and dark. I can’t play fast yet so I can’t comment on responsiveness. Appearance is different and nice. Will probably comment again as I get familiar with it.

    • It comes completely set up.
Like the sound, very consistent in all temperatures. It is limited verses a wood violin in the sense that it plays better the more you play it. Your skill has to improve to make it play better, which great for me. Lol.

This violin has very nice tone, not bad response and is almost unaffected by extremes in temperature and humidity! For the price, it's a very nice and very reliable instrument.
