This rug is super soft and cozy feeling. It has a decent amount of padding under it for the price. The "tie-dye" pattern gives a great look of contrasting colors with shades from gray to white. Overall I think it's a great value. *Did have a smell to it when first opened (I think from being shrink wrapped) We opened it, laid it over a chair to air out and sprayed with some Febreeze. Beautiful and soft. But not very much cushion and , an odd texture under my feet. Not sure how to explain it. It might be fineniver carpet, but in my hardwood, it feels weird. Otherwise a lovely rug.

It’s very soft, and looks nice…but because the shag is so long, it’s really difficult to keep clean if it’s in a high traffic area. Crumbs and dirt find their way to the base of the rug then the fibers can basically become tangled like dreadlocks and trap the dirt where the vacuum can’t get them easily. This matting of the fibers can also happen if it’s placed somewhere that people sit a lot with their feet on the carpet. The carpet is also thinner than the type you buy at a place like Walmart. It’s more of a bath mat thickness, so there isn’t much padding (around 1/4 inch), and it can move around more easily than a traditional area rug. It is easier to store and much lighter weight though. So whether or not this rug is right for you really depends what you’re looking for. It would be great for a dorm room, or less trafficked areas where you want a cheap rug for aesthetics. But it might not be the best for protecting your living room carpet or hardwood long term, and it doesn’t really add much padding for hard floors. I would probably give it 3.5 stars if I could, but I rounded up. ... show more

Absolutely loved the softness and size of this rug. It came folded inside a box but laid nicely upon unpacking and was sooo comfortable, fluffy and soft I laid on it for 10 minutes and didn't want to get up. I was sad I could not keep the rug because I bought it so big it overwhelmed the intended space, but my daughter gladly took it off my hands and it is her dog's favorite spot. I'm unable to speak to how easy it is to clean but the gray color is likely to hold up longer than a lighter one color tone rug.
