My daughters used this, both at different times. The first one a couple of years ago, and It burned her terribly! I had just purchased mine and hadn't used it, lucky me, because I was afraid to use it because of her experience. I should have sent mine back, but missed the deadline but I never used it. Sadly, today, my youngest daughter, who did not know about her big sister's experience (not DNA related due to adoption) came out a few minutes ago freaking out, it burned her too! This item worked, but I did have a little irritation but not so bad that I won't use it again. I gave it 4 stars because it did say there would be no irritation but I can say it worked with a little redness. I am extremely happy that It work as expected. I used this cream for the first time and left on for 7 to 8 mins. I didn't have very much redness after which was a plus, but I could still see a lot of hair around my jawline in the magnifying mirror.
