Is a very customizable pet, you can put a name and has a lot of features as it evolves and grows. The included battery didn’t last more than two weeks, but replacing by a new one kept the progress with no problem. Really worth it. Liked by a 8 year old kid.

I have the Floppy Frog and Pixel Puppy. If you are not a vpet collector and are just looking to snag one for nostalgia I would recommend the Floppy Frog as a great entry point. If you are a collector then any of them are great to add next. I plan on collecting every device they have and every other one Top Secret Toys makes in the future because these devices just have so much heart to them. You can tell they are made with the community of millenial vpet collectors in mind. There is so much attention to detail. As for battery life, I know that the battery that comes with the devices is more of a tester so make sure that you buy back ups. I appreciate this because it keeps the price point for the devices low and I have a bunch of these batteries on hand anyway. I will say that I have had my Floppy Frog for three weeks and haven't even had the low battery warning yet let alone a dead battery. Pixel Puppy I have only had for five days so I can't speak to the battery life on that one. I really disliked GigaPets as a kid but I think that Top Secret Toys is doing much better with these GigaPets than Tiger did with the originals from the 90s. Battery Update: Floppy Frog still going strong. Pixel Puppy flashing low warning light. I'm going to keep running it and see how long it can live on the initial battery. ... show more

Kids loved it, reminded me of the virtual pets we had growing up. Battery life poor. I purchased a second one because I thought the first one broke, but the second one batter ran out quickly too.

This is probably my favorite Giga Pet!!! I’ve bought many different kinds of the GigaPets but I enjoyed this one the most cause of the cute animations and the frog evolves and stays fun to play with! Guess I’m just a sucker for the frogs 🐸. The battery lasted the entire time I played this frog through, which was almost a month! Still had battery for a while after as well. The style of the shell is similar to all giga pets, love how they have kept with the see through cases. The shell is a cute design for the them of this pet. This would be a good gift for someone who is interested in getting into v-pets, or of course a long time collector like myself! The device is as easy to use as other giga pets, just keeping their meters up and checking on your pet as usual. Easy pet. Very nice to add to my collection and definitely plan on running this one again :) ... show more

I never had a giga pet growing up, I always had Tamagotchis, so this was a new experience for me! I like that the mini games change throughout their life stages. It feels pretty easy to care for, while still being engaging. It is kinda forgiving, as I have forgotten to check on it for almost a day a few times, and my little frog was still alive. I don't think it has any sort of pause function like some modern virtual pets have. My only complaint is 1.) It can be quite noisy. I know I can turn sounds off, but I do like leaving them on so I can hear if it needs attention. Your frog will do little activities on screen when you aren't playing with them, and sometimes you hear a splash or a ribbit. During the second life stage this thing is constantly jumping in the water and making a loud splashing noise. They go into a rest mode after you haven't played with them for a little bit, so it eventually stops. Kinda a nitpick, but felt it was worth mentioning. 2.) Battery life. Probably because of the varied animations and sounds, this thing has a much shorter battery life compared to similar Tamagotchis and Digivices. I had this for about two weeks before I got a low battery notification in the middle of a game. Cell batteries are kinda pricy, so it might get expensive to run this for a long time. This isn't something I would run more than a month or so at a time, but I will for sure keep it in my virtual pet rotation. For $20 I think it's a good deal, and probably a bit more engaging than the tamagotchi v1 and v2 remakes. ... show more

Purchased for my son he played with it for two days before the battery died. We replaced the battery with a brand new one and it died again later that day. The batteries are testing fine in other products so it’s the product that isn't working correctly. He loves this thing but now he doesn’t use it because the battery doesn’t last. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I purchased this for my 8 year old little boy because he loves animals and I thought this would be a fun alternative to getting a real animal but also teach responsibility. I will say the giga pet has died several times but thankfully since this isn't a real life animal it can come right back. My son has enjoyed playing with this and has helped him understand consequences because if he doesn't feed it or clean up after it it will die. Product is easy to use. ... show more
