  • Awesome!!! No regrets!!!
Much bigger and much louder than I expected... Of course testing them inside a garage was a bad idea but we did it anyways. Had to do short bursts because it was just too loud to do without ear plugs. It actually hurt because it was so loud. The table is was on was shaking because the noise is just insanely loud. I didn't really think they were going to be real train horns but I guess you get what you pay for (which is going to be the bill for hearing aides when you get older hahaha). I didn't expect them to be as big as they are... I actually had no space to put them up the front of my truck and I think they're too big for the roof so they will be put onto the frame on the drivers side. If you're looking for train horns, don't go with the stupid and cheap little ones. I almost did and I would've regretted that. These ones from Grand General are amazing and I definitely don't regret buying them. I'm hoping I don't literally scare the life out of someone but I guess that's the price they're going to pay when they cut me off anymore. If I were on Monsters Inc. trying to fill those scare tanks, I'd be at the top of the leaderboards with this amazing setup. You can't go wrong with Grand General train horns. They're high quality and sound great!!! ... show more

  • The BADDEST train horn PERIOD
My first experience with train horns were 2 inexpensive 3 trumpet horns, very low quality. They both had solenoids. Not long after they started leaking. Then I got GG General!! OMG you only need 1 and get the chrome valve. You get ALL the air you need. EXTREMELY satisfied!!!

  • LOUD!!!!!!!
I was looking for a loud train horn for my semi and after many months looking for the right one I took a chance on those GG and I did what most people recommended, I ran a 1/2 in line with 1/2 in valve from tank straight to the horn and it sure sounds like a train and I'm sure it uses all 150db that they claim on it. Definitely and wake up call when you get someone playing on their phone while driving and they cut you off not paying attention like they should. I don't get angry anymore when someone do that, I just open that valve all the way and let the fun begin......LMAO ... show more

  • loud, excellent in all facets, keep a light oil film, always shiny, they save lives !
Second set, first set on ranch house gable roof for fun, this set is for a pick up truck. a loud horn will stop an idiot from crossing into your path, most the time. freeway mergers wake up. suggest disconnecting the solinoid and puttin on a hose barb n hose n using a air valve. this requires a 1/2" hose and 30 min psi to run, depending on flow and distance from tank. far hose run = bigger hose and more pressure. more psi = more loud n more sucsess have fun just mess with your set up. it is a fun safety item, cant loose. just dont give anyone a heart attack ! ... show more

  • Be seen and heard
First off I drive a large work truck small enough to be in the fast lane on the freeway at 75mph but also big enough that people think its ok to cut you off because its a big truck which makes zero sense. Anyways I was tired of the factory electric horn not being heard and not getting any notice when i had to say my piece back to less than considerate fellow motorists, so I first bought a $40 “train horn” here on the Zon it did the job for about a year then the cheap plastic diaphragm blew and would no longer toot. So again I was on the hunt for something better & willing to spend more money for a quality product (go figure) I came across this horn read a few other reviews and pulled the trigger. Horn arrived installed it connected to air and damn if its not noticeable! So if youre looking to put this on a semi with existing air or a pickup/service truck like me I doubt you’ll be disappointed, its well made all metal horns are brass base & bracket appear to be mild steel/cast. It is quite large so dont expect to be able to mount this to your corrola or ford ranger with ease it’s going to require some room as well as air volume. All that being said I purchased this for $150 in early Nov of 21 I believe its gone up in price since then but id gladly pay the current price if i had to. ... show more

  • Very loud if you set up right
The media could not be loaded. The loudest and baddest train horns aside from a true train horn off a locomotive. I went with 1/2 inch lines from my air tank to a ball valve and then the horns and it sounds insane. I can keep up with the trains all day long and I'm always able to avoid dangerous situations by sounding these horns. They are truly kick ass with the right setup. Give them direct air and not the electric solenoid. Thumbs up ... show more

  • Great sound but difficult for custom mounting
The media could not be loaded. These hors are loud and real train horn tone. Great value for the money. I disassembled the set and made custom brackets to fit under the grille of my Silverado. My only complaint is the horns themselves use M12x1.25 thread so I had to make my own custom air fittings.
