When you travel for work it's nice to have all the amenities you're used to having at home. From OTC meds to all your standard toiletries, this bag holds it all. No need to go buy travel sizes of things, or having to find a pharmacy when you get a runny nose. The other really cool thing when you buy from Rustic Town is the hand signed note from the owner telling you about how the product is made. The group of artisans that are a part of this team do very high quality work, and every purchase helps their small business survive. They also donate portions of the sales to under privileged people in their community in India. As someone who has recently been getting into the philosophy of Buddhism, it was a really cool connection to have made and know that I'm helping some great people through my business. I will look to purchase more from them in the future as they have a wide array of quality leather products to enhance my travel kit, from pencil cases to duffel bags, and everything in between. ... show more

This bag is just beautiful and looks like it will last a lifetime The leather is high quality, the stiching looks very strong and the gold hardware compliments it nicely. The bag is quite roomy and it stands on its own even when empty, which is a must for me. I am thrilled with this purchase and and bought another style from the same company for my son (the one that looks like a doctors bag) and they're both just perfect. This one is a little big bigger but both are very practical and fit a lot of stuff. I just love these bags and will be sure to gift a few at the first opportunity. This is easily a $150 - $200 bag at any fine leather goods store. Its quality far exceeds the Amazon price and there's nothing there that compares (I know, I looked at all of them and returned two others before finding this one). Fast shipping. Color accurate. Roomy. "Tanning accelerator" very smelly. Rigidized outer shell benefitted from my 2x applications of mink oil, reduced smell somewhat. Also freed up low quality zipper movement. Extremely thin leather shell (measures 2mm at stitched fold). Looked great, beefy, on line. Accompanying presentation bag w/company logo only confirmed my suspicions that this item was produced very cheaply and needed an accoutrement bag help to make it less disappointing a purchase. ... show more

At first glance this is a great product. I just received the product, so my review is only on first appearance. Purchased this toiletry bag to replace my trusty 30 year old shaving kit. I travel every week, so the kit needs to be rugged, and be large enough to hold all of my stuff. Nice roomy main compartment, fit everything I usually carry with some room left over. Love the double top zipper which opens the kit all the way up, so you don't have to strain to see what's inside. Zippers seem to be good quality and there is a nice nylon lining on the inside. Not sure what I'll use the bottom compartment for, maybe some extras that I don't use much. Time will tell how well this kit holds up. Very happy with the purchase. ... show more

    • Needed a larger leather shave toiletry bag

I have owned a Rustic Tree leather duffel bag and a smaller Rustic Tree travel toiletry bag for a number of years without any problems. I have applied mink oil intermittently to keep the leather supple and protection from water. They still look as good as when I received them. So when I recently started using a double-edged safety razor for shaving, I found my toiletry bag was too small to hold all the additonal shaving items needed ie. shaving cream tub with screw-on lid, silver-tipped shave brush in travel container, razor with 2 packs (10 blades), small aluminum-cased mirror, small bottle preshave oil, aftershave balm in tub with screw-on lid, 3" lather bowl, travel razor blade disposal box. So my first ( and last) place I checked was Amazon for a larger Rustic Tree leather toiletry bag. I found this one which can hold all my items with ease in closing zipper. This bag is well crafted, durable with that great leather odor. I would highly recommend checking out the Rustic Tree for the rustic-looking leather goods. Carried a vinyl/plastic dopp kit for years that one day fell apart. Can't believe I was able to purchase an extra large, real leather one for $40! This leather one arrived flattened/collapsed and made of real leather that is fairly soft, expanded to shape easily, and I didn't really notice any smell. I'm betting this a one will out live me! If you need a large one, buy this one, you won't regret it. The quality workmanship, leather, and price, just can't be beat. This would be a bargain at twice the price. ... show more

This particular leather bag is amazing it is has some of the best quality leather and I have to say if you travel a lot of great gift for yourself or someone you love . Definitely worth over $100 but I'd say if you can find a deal on it that's even better but everything from this line down to the customer service and the company has been amazing and the shipping was extremely fast. They're definitely making a quality product. If you're looking for something that has that rustic look but also something that does give that quality long lasting a feeling this might actually be the toiletry bag for you. Additionally I would like to add that I think this would be great for a lady or guy because of the size compartments it's definitely enough room to put everything in my need for a trip.
