Overall, I really liked this product. It seemed like it would have been a great winter coat, but I ended up returning it because it was a little bit snug across my chest. I'm not a large chested woman, and I was quite surprised, because otherwise it fit very well. I ended up having to size up, which I don't really love because it seems like the jacket is overly big, except in the chest. However, because it seems like such a great quality, and I do love the vibrant color, I am keeping it. I work at the daycare, and even in the winter we spend a lot of time outdoors, and I live in the northern part of Michigan so it gets fairly cold and proper gear is necessary. Update: even though the jacket is a bit bulky, I love it, it is so warm. It keep the wind off, and keeps me dry in the rain and wet snow. It’s the best winter jacket! ... show more

I have had this coat throughout the winter and absolutely LOVE it. It’s everything promised in the description. I liked it so much I bought it as gifts for two other family members and they love theirs just as much as I do. My favorite part is the shoulder room is nice and roomy, which is usually my problem area in other women’s coats. My other favorite part is as pictured with the thumb slot to trap body heat in and make sure the sleeves don’t ride up while you’re out in the cold. I’m 6 foot tall and usually wear a 2x and would say this coat fits true to size, and I would think it would work as unisex too. It’s got good zip up pockets and nice fuzzy neck area, Velcro areas around the hood and sleeves to trap the heat in. And the whole coat is 100% water proof!! ... show more

I bought this coat for trips to Alaska. Granted, my 1st trip was in the fall, but every time I wore it, I was either comfortable or sweating!! It is well-made, and fits great! (- I'm small, 110 lbs, so knowing I would wear layers &/or sweater underneath, I ordered Medium.) Has lots of extra details like an elastic waist/hip band on inside to block out drafts which you can unsnap if tight or annoying, has 2 inner pockets (1 zip, 1 mesh) and 3 outer pockets. My favorite feature is the comfy, stretchy wristbands with thumb holes!!! These also keep out the cold! Gloves/mittens easily fit over them. The added snaps and Velcro show thought & planning in this design for personal fit preferences. Sleeves are smooth and easy to pull on. It zips high at neck if desired. Even the hood is well-made with nice, warm lining, elastic pull-tight cording, and zipper for removal. I have never owned such a great coat! Well worth the cost; I highly recommend! ... show more

Update 3/5/23 - about a month into wearing the coat it started developing these lumps within the fabric all along the seams... I'm certain it's a buildup of whatever material is inside.. I haven't washed it so I don't why that started happening.... It feels awkward when driving because my arm sits on the arm rest while driving and you can feel lumps all in the way.. I really want to give it 3 stars because it really is a lot of lumps but I'll just leave it... It really keeps me warm and I went thru so much finding a coat to fit my long arms... I would only buy it again if Columbia doesn't have my size in the coat I want (that's what brought me here to begin with lol) ... You can feel it with your hands as well but it isn't noticeable to the eye because my coat is big (at least I don't think so)... Also if you got a larger size like me you should wear a scarf on windy cold days because your body will be nice and warm until that air creep in in the space by your neck lol... Cold!! So I don't plan on buying it again next year.. I'll do a better job with getting my regular winter coat earlier so that my size isn't gone... Hopefully this coat will last another winter just in case.. I don't see why it wouldn't.. OK, so when I tell you guys that I went through 7 different versions of THIS particular coat it is truly unbelievable! You really have to pay attention to detail because you think all the coats and colors are the same style but I found out that they are not... First of all I had to buy two different sizes because I'm tall with very long arms and my problem with most coats are that the arms are always short.. So I gotthe XL and 2XL in each style/ color that I was buying.. oh, I'm 5'11 198 pounds 42DD (that's important to know for comfort) and my arm inseam is 28 inches. Told you I'm tall with long arms lol The body of the XL was perfect but the arms were a little short and because of my big breasts if I wrapped my arms around (like a fake bear hug) it would feel snug around the shoulders and arm pits.. The 2XL was much better.. The thumb really makes a difference, which is what I wanted, because it gives you an easy extra 2 inches of fabric.. Now I will say that when my thumb is actually inside the hole that space feels tight... The body is loose, but I expected that because I don't usually wear a 2XL.. My normal size is XL or size 14 Luckily by the time I got this one I had unfortunately went through 6 other different styles by the same company so I knewwhat I wanted lol... I specifically wanted and needed the thumb hole as well as the drawstring waste because, as I mentioned, I knew the body was going to be too big for me... The gray colors and maroon color DOES NOT have that drawstring.. So be careful when ordering.. I found out the hard way and I hadthe worst time with Amazon messing up my return process with these coats... I'm in NY and it's coollldddd here... Without any sweater on underneath just long sleeves I haven't been cold yet... The pockets are deep but they are not lined.. the hood is lined though..... I haven't taken pictures yet cause so had time for that in the cold lol... But I'll get around to it when my husband is off... This is my first time in like 10 years having a winter coat that is waist level... My last coat was from Columbia it was to my knees and perfect with thumb holes and it lasted well over 6 years... But they don't sell that one anymore and the ones they have don't have the thumb hole.. I need that extra fabric for length in my sleeves (cause I have long arms guys, I'm not kidding) Lol, it fits my body so you can't tell.. But trust my shopping for coats and long sleeves has always been a pain.. Thankfully i love summer and warm weather so when the winter time comes I don't mind looking Manish yet comfortable because all my coats are big lol. I will update with pictures at a later time... But yeah, make sure if you want drawstring and thumb holes to get this color (Navy).. A lot of the other colors only have one or the other... Oh and it has a snow skirt skirt inside... 4 stars because it's not tested in the snow yet and there were a few hanging strings that I hadto cut off.. Very warm so far and the rain seems to bounce right off.. I didn't stand in it long but that was good ... show more

I really like this coat. The cut and fit are nice, it's very warm, quite heavy in weight, but it beats the -30 degree weather we've had. I appreciate that the hood zips on, the thumb holes are great for keeping sleeves down and snow out. It's also not an "inside layer" sleeve, the cuff is sewn in to keep the whole sleeve in place. I didn't love how at first look, the white color was on prime, and when I went back into my account to purchase, the white option was no longer available on prime. From other users suggestions, I chose the size M, being 5'3" and 115 lbs with broad shoulders, I figured it would be a win, as I purchase M sized shirts. I should have opted for a size small. My son, 5'7 and 150lbs tried it on and likes it, so I'll keep it and wait for white to go back on prime. Overall very warm, comfortable and the price is a great deal for a solid winter coat. ... show more

I love this coat! It works great for winter/snowy weather. The lined hood is a nice feature and I also love that it has a mesh pocket on the inside for easy access to items.The color is a beautiful grayish purple. It works well at keeping you dry in snow. I haven't worn it in the rain so I don't know how waterproof it is. ... show more
