I needed acetone, nail polish remover, to help with a decorative painting project. I looked at the box pharmacies but they only carried the saturated polish remover pads...a no go for me. I finally looked on Amazon, and there the good ole' faithful Cutex stood ready to be of service. Of course, I ordered a bottle (for a whole lot less money than a box of the saturated pads cost). Now my trusty little bottle of acetone, nail polish remover, is stored on a shelf in my craft room (and I know exactly where she is) where my family knows not to trespass under severe penalty! This inexpensive little chemical applied in a tiny amount with a cotton swab can help to delicately remove unwanted paint or aid in remedying a mistake in a detailed painting project (not a huge project like painting a room, but a craft project). I get that it’s probably used for and its main purpose is for nails. But I tried using it as paint stripper or remover, from my paintbrushes and paint because of its acetone content. It’s not really strong enough to do that, and I tried to use it to un-harden superglue as well, didn’t really work that great either. I have purchased this brand in the past, but this was my first time trying this "ultra-powerful" version. I have only just started working with UV gel nail polish. I did find it to be quite drying where it got on skin, but it did a great job of removing the polish, and my nails are not super dried out.
