  • Not as sore compared to not having seat cushion
Color: Black
Saves my butt from being too sore. Brand name rubbed off but does not affect quality, easy to put on/take off (if you want to have sore butt). Excellent cushion.

  • Way more comfortable for a big guy, but slides around a little.
Color: Black
I have gone on 2 rides with this seat cushion. Let me set you up for the current situation, so you understand the 4-star rating, and have compassion for this poor, poor, unfortunate cushion. I am 6'-7" and weigh 315. I'm about as big of a guy as you're commonly going to encounter on a bicycle. I have a fancy-schmancy bicycle, a Trek Domane. It comes with the routine skinny-guy racing-style super-light bike saddle- you know the one, it's roughly the size, shape, and sharpness of a high-end steak knife on edge. In fact, modern high-end bike seats can cut steak just as good as such a knife. Anyway, to fit my tall and wide frame, the bike frame and handlebars are probably 30% or more larger than most, so I make the logical conclusion that I need a seat that's also 30% larger--after all I'm at least 100% larger than most men for whom this seat was designed, right? But NO, said everyone. (The guys and the bike shop, my cycling friends, and family.) They all said (and I paraphrase) "Yeah, we know you're an enormous fat-ass, and that there are other seats out there and stuff, but don't be a wuss, just use chamois cream/padded shorts, grit your teeth, and get used to it, your taint will toughen up." Well, I'm no wuss, so for the last 2 months, every time it's 38 degrees or above, I've been out there putting in between 15 and 25 miles on this taint-torturing device. I tell them, "Hey, my taint still feels like somebody's been pounding on it with a 5 pound ball-peen hammer, when should I expect this 'toughening up'?" They said to keep the faith, and warned against bike seats that are similar to my body in relative terms, saying that such seats chafe more and what-not. Well, 2 months of this was enough, and so I bought this bad boy. In addition to using this cushion, I added a 2nd pair of chamois shorts (2 pairs of padded shorts plus the cushion now). I have to admit it's WAY better. WAY WAY better. Is it good? Not good, just quite a bit less bad. I'd say that 20 miles in or so, I still find myself standing up on the pedals pretty often to get some blood to the taint/butt region before gangrene kicks in. But I'm pretty sure I could sit on a small cushion of air and if it were concentrating all my weight on such a small area of my body with bones so close to the surface, it would be just as painful, and I doubt that with a traditional racing saddle, I'll do much better. So definitely better. The reason for the loss of a star: It slips a little. They brag that it really stays put on the seat, but again, I'm pretty sure they're basing that on the experience of a normal human being. Even with it cinched as tight as it goes, it tends to slide to one side or the other. So far this hasn't left exposed areas of steak-knife-saddle to cut into my perineum, but if that changes, I'll update the review. ... show more

  • Exactly as promised
Color: Black
Very comfortable and fits my Peloton’s seat perfectly. Drawstring design makes it easy to fit and tuck strings under the sides afterward (no exposed strings).

  • I really wanted to love this product. - Update
Color: Black
I'm really not the age or body build of a professional cyclist. Well, truth be told, I'm nowhere near the age or typical body build of a professional cyclist but I do love bike riding. Like many people, I have always wondered why high-end bicycle seats seem to be designed like torture devices. I thought putting a nice spongy gel layer on top of that seat would be an obvious solution. I've got a little over 100 miles on this seat pad now and I feel I can give it a pretty good evaluation. Problem number one: even though my seat falls within the size range specified on the product details, it was an extraordinarily tight fit and REALLY difficult to install. The end result was that it didn't quite reach the back of the seat so there is a little ledge where the gel ends before the back of the seat ends. Problem number two: in spite of the ridiculously tight fit, it does tend to shift forward while riding so the aforementioned ledge is even more prominent now than it was when I first installed it. Problem number three: maybe it was a "little" more comfortable, but quite honestly, I really didn't notice any major improvement. Maybe that was because the advantage of the increased padding was offset by the increased bulk of the seat. Perhaps it was because the contour of the seat, which may have actually had some design thought behind it, is completely lost once the pad is installed. I've never really felt comfortable with the idea of riding a bicycle in spandex, but I'm seriously considering swapping out the pad for a pair of quality bicycling shorts. So what if I don't look like an Olympian. At least maybe my butt won't hurt. UPDATE: Okay, after a lot of additional research I finally took the plunge and bought a pair of dedicated bicycling shorts. I have one comment. FORGET ABOUT THE SEAT COVER, GET A GOOD PAIR OF BICYCLING SHORTS OR BIBS WITH BUILT-IN CHAMOIS. The reality is just what I expected. RELATIVELY HIGH-END BICYCLE SEATS (PROBABLY INCLUDING PELOTON) ARE SIMPLY NOT DESIGNED TO BE USED WITH REGULAR CLOTHES. That's it. They are just not made to be used with street clothes. Now, a decent pair of bike shorts are not cheap. I paid about $150 for my cycling bibs. But let me tell you folks, the difference is PHENOMENAL!. I recently went on an all-day 60-mile ride. At the end of the day, there was absolutely no soreness. No butt pain. Nothing. I am totally convinced. The solution to an uncomfortable bicycle seat is NOT a padded seat cover. All that does is totally change the geometry of the seat, make it more bulky and do nothing for comfort. The secret, assuming you don't simply have the wrong seat for your anatomy, is to put the padding where belongs. In the clothing and not on the seat. There are loose-fitting options available if you are self-conscious but, really, it's been my experience that other riders on bike trails are not snobby fashionistas. They are a friendly, accepting group who will not make fun of you because you're 20 pounds overweight and trying to look like a "real" rider. They will praise you for taking the plunge and joining them on the trail. ... show more

I love the color and so far, it does feel better than just the Peleton seat alone.
