The media could not be loaded. It's definitely an upgrade if you have an RC 9125, just be careful with the adaptation it doesn't quite fit as it doesn't come for this one but it can definitely be retrofitted, quality wise it feels good but I wish the oil wouldn't come out

So i bought 2 sets of these for our Laegendary Legend and Tornado truggy bashers since the factory so called oil filled shocks are in reality oil filled friction shocks. since these are the only true oil filled shocks that actually come close to the factory dimensions. after filling them with the aproate weight of silicone shock oil i noticed that 1 shock out of each set was a little dodgey with the adjustable spring tensioner being rediculasly loose and i used a pair of channel locks to compress the nut to where it was actually grabbing the threads on the shock body. After being used for roughly 4 sessions the questionable shocks started leeking within weeks of each other. After removeing them and disassembling the questionable leaky shocks i discovered that both were missing 2 rubber o-rings each. So after inspecting them and installing the missing o-rings and reassembling and filling with oil and remounting them, i can say that the issue was found and resolved. Now if the manufacturer would focus on improving their quality control......... ... show more

Apon opening the package they actually didn't look too bad, but that's where it ended. I planned on using these on a no prep drag build, first off the threading on the adjustable collars was full of burrs, once filled with shock oil they bounced like a pogo stick on 30 weight oil, 50 weight oil and you could feel some resistance in them but still bouncy, they were not smooth at all even with shock oil in them, the pistons must have huge holes in them because they had very little dampening, when I took them apart I found out they do not have piston plates with holes in them, they have solid metal washers that allow the oil to flow around them,tried to retro fit actual pistons from different manufacters like (associated,Traxxas,HPI) with no luck, so you're stuck with the washers, I ended up using 3000 wt diff fluid in them for the rears and 50wt in the front...the progressive springs seemed to work well but the overall lack of quality really shows, but again you "get what you pay for" do yourself a favor and buy good shocks from a name brand company. 1/10 scale (logically more like a 1/12 with 1/10 wheel/tires) Same as a hosim, FMT, xinlehong. Mine was blomiky version, they are all functionally the same, same parts motors everything. Gives it a good inch more give or take of lift but works much much better than the stock friction shocks. You can however buy hosim oil shocks for any of the 9125 models if you prefer to. Same size as stock wont need to modify the rear of your chassis but at a higher price of $32. Personally, i enjoyed modifying it for $16 less lol. Took me a whole 10 mins to install them counting tapping a new hole on the lower rear arm, but not counting the oil filling routine. They look pretty aggressive on the 9125 and it lands jumps with a nice dampened thud rather than a bottoming out pop. These shocks are pretty stiff it takes like a 3 ft drop to really push them down on the 9125. I've included some pics, pay no mind to the smaller than normal body. i just really like the way the body it's self looked, wish it been more fitting to the scale. For now I'm just tinkering with the idea of it. 2 images show where you must use self tapping screw to mount them on the rear, also there is a youtube video of a guy installing these if you can dig it up. The water bottle is a dasani purified water bottle for context and the tums bottle is the big 140 tablets bottle to show how much it was lifted with these shocks. Both bottles slide under it without touching the chassis's belly measures with ruler it's 2 1/2 inch clearance think stock was 1.98 inches. I got some slightly wider tires coming that little body maybe needed in the end, the shocks was needed no matter what for this budget beast. ... show more

    • Bottom caps pop off first jump

I put these on a slash 2wd and on the first jump which was small lower than knee height the bottom cap blew off and all my shock oil leaked out.
