I got these slip on loafers in the black color but honestly they are Grey. You can see from the pictures they are indeed grey and not black. Even with the color ignored you can see the glue in some of the spots around the sole and even a spot on on where the sole is folded in and glued. The toes did had paper stuffed inside to keep them from getting crushed. The canvas type material isn't easy to smash down and wouldn't keep the shape however I didn't want smashed shoes. Now I had to give these a couple stars even with the things listed. They are pretty comfortable and don't slip off the backs of my heals when I'm walking as other do. They are a little more narrow then my other shoes that cost 2x as much (Hey Dude). I have several pairs of these type of shoes and comparing these to them for 1/2 the price, you get what you pay for. Yes they are canvas upper glued to a foam sole but for the cost of competitors they are good. ... show more

My husband has gotten a few other shoes of this type, slip on loafers, and he was eager to try these. Overall, they are good shoes. They fit him just right in his usual size, and they are comfortable on. They slip on easily, which is of course one of the big appeals of them, and they stay on well. He's worn them for a walk and for working out, and his feet felt good afterwards---important as he is a diabetic. I think I have more of an issue with these than he does---they just look cheap. They look like they were slapped together, with unfinished looking seams and material that looks worn out even when new. I know some of that is an on purpose distressed look, but somehow they don't quite pull that off and look more like just a worn out look! This doesn't bother my husband, and I'm sure I'll be seeing these worn for quite a while! ... show more

This has been a very pleasant experience for him. These slip on shoes offer reasonable support and cushion. They have a different look and took some getting use to but are now his favorite go to shoes for quick trips or running outdoors to do a few chores.
