The walls on the mugs that I pressed don't seem straight. When wrapping the mug with my design, I noticed that I couldn't get the paper to wrap tightly along the bottom edge even though it was snug on the top edge, and this was with a design that was machine-cut and perfectly straight. The tapering resulted in an uneven press in my mug press that caused major fading along the bottom of the design. So it seems like if I want a good press then I would have to use a smaller design that doesn't extend to the bottom of the mug. The sublimation did come out great on the top 2/3 of the mugs though. I may just use these for simple name designs instead of full top-to-bottom designs. ... show more

These sublimation mugs are great gift ideas. The mugs take the sublimation ink well. I am not great with ceramic mugs, so it is a lot of trial and error. The recommended temp settings are not included, so I had to go with other settings. The design came out good, but I could have probably let it on for a few seconds more.     • A good set of entry level mugs.
I had decent experiences with these mugs. In terms of where they fall along the spectrum of price and performance and quality, I would consider these good entry level mugs. If you are making mugs for yourself, friends or family as gifts, these are a good way to go. Like anything, buy in bulk to get the best cost per piece. Some of the small quantities are quite a bit overpriced. If you are going to buy these to sell for a profit in a situation where you have customer service, greater scrutiny, and reputation to worry about, these may fall just a little short. The mugs are fairly standard in terms of quality. They arrived nicely packed from the point of origin. As with all substrates, they need to be perfectly clean before you press them. They had an adequate coating on them and held ink well. The design was fairly crisp and consistent. So much of the finished product has a lot to do with the quality of your print design, the quality of your press, what temperature you use, the pressure you use, and how long you press it for. With all those variables, and your experience, you may or may not have the same results as me with your finished product. If you go into these with modest expectations I think you will be happy. The dye sub supply space is pretty crowded so it’s a buyer’s market. Do your homework, compare specs, and buy the item with the best cost. ... show more

These mugs are definitely not the highest quality mugs I've used for sublimation. The mugs were well packed from the manufacturer. The only problem that I really had was a glazing issue. It didnt make for the highest quality print on the mug but it still worked.

    • DO NOT PURCHASE THESE UNLESS YOU WANT TO WASTE YOUR MONEY.
The mugs are NOT flat on the sides - thus the sublimation will not adhere properly no matter how much heat tape you use. I tried all 12 and none of them worked perfectly!!! Sad day and super frustrating!

These mugs are great quality. Love how polished they look and they're perfect for personal use or for crafting. If you have a small business you can sell these and add permanent adhesive vinyl or use for sublimation. They are perfect and they wash well and look really nice.
