  • Best Smartwatch ever
I have been on the fence on getting an apple watch due to the fact you have to charge it almost everyday. This is by far the best smartwatch I have ever seen and tried, the nylon band was kind of bulky and couldn’t keep the watch in place from sliding down my wrist without having to tighten up the band tooo much. Got a aftermarket soft nylon band and it feels amazing. Display quality is great. Battery longevity is amazing I use this watch for all of my 4 workouts sessions each week. Garmin connect app gives you a lot of information about your health and workout analysis. If price tag is not an issue buy it cause it worth every penny. ... show more

  • Best Garmin I have Owned
This is the best Garmin I have owned. The screen is crystal. The construction is solid. Via the Garmin express, i can customize the buttons. I have been getting 3 weeks of battery life with workouts every day. Have to get used to not charging it daily like my Apple.

  • High quality, expensive! Wish there were basic app integrations.
I've been using this watch for about three months, and can confidently say that it is an excellent tool and worth the extreme price. You get what you pay for... I'm a professional pilot and was considering this or a D2. I think they're both on equal footing, since they have flight-related apps and sync with my phone and instruments in the cockpit. The Tactix just has the "field watch" styling that I'm used to. The construction of the watch is excellent! It's not any heaver than 50mm watches that I'm used to, and the included nylon band is quite stylish. I replaced it with an aftermarket stretch band, which makes the watch easier to use when I'm in the pool. The screen is tough, but I bough an aftermarket protector just in case. Also, the titanium bezel does scratch against hard surfaces. I have several nicks and scratches after a few months of use. The Garmin battery life doesn't disappoint. On average, I charge this watch once a week and it takes about 30mins to charge. The AMOLED screen is excellent even outdoors. I suggest buying the MIP version if you're primarily outdoors and the OLED version if you're indoors. The fitness tracking features are second to none! When I bought it, I was recovering from an injury so it felt like starting from square one again. The watch provides excellent insights into my general health and how to improve everything from sleep to workouts. It does provide workout recommendations, which is handy. Cardiovascular options abound (I mainly use it on hikes and in the pool), but strength training is pretty limited and not as intuitive. However, the data is limited to select Garmin Apps. You can export data and privacy options are thorough, but it doesn't sync with Health Connect on android. I'm not sure about Apple hardware, but having a health connect option would allow me to easily import data from strength training apps. If given the chance, I'd buy this watch again. It's high quality and I use its features every day. ... show more

  • Totally different realm of smartwatch - way better than Apple Watch Ultra BY FAR
I was quite hesitant but, finally decided to pull the trigger and never looked back. I tried 3 different variations of the Fenix 7 and the Epix 2 but, this was the one. Generally, I would compare this to the way the Apple Watch Ultra works but, that is akin to comparing a phillips head screwdriver with a hammer. They are both tools with different functions. I found that I never used the features of the LTE on my Apple Watch Ultra so, I do not miss that connectivity. I have found that I do miss Siri and being able to do certain things however, I have over a dozen HomePods that I can trigger automations and timers so, once I got past that, there were really no other comparisons. If I leave the screen on Always On, i get about 9 days of battery life. 3-4x more than what the Apple Watch Ultra has. I have gotten familiar enough with it and have it set perfectly for me and I get 28-30 days of battery out of it. I do notice that I lose a day or two of expected life when I run 3 days a week. That gets me to about 20 days of battery. That is negligible to me. The bands that come with it are great but, there are a lot of bands that are high quality on Amazon that are under $25 and look great and hold up. It is a big expense but, instead of having an Apple product that last for a few years, this is a 4-5 year buy for me. I would only buy another an Mk3i since I am a diver as well as a shooter but, I do not dive enough to justify that expense at this time. If you can afford it or, if you are considering an Apple Watch Ultra, consider this timepiece. You can do 95% of everything on it that you can do with the an Apple product. It is only 30% more and worth saving that to move up to something that not everyone else has. This is not a More Of The Same watch like Apple produces year after year. ... show more

My husband wanted to upgrade to an amoled display from a fenix 7, so I surprised him with this watch and he never takes it off 😊😊

  • Dialed In
45 days in. Upgraded from Fenix 5X. Measures/tracks everything you can think of…almost too much. Data can be overwhelming but in a good way. Easy to focus on what’s important to you. Touchscreen and controls are intuitive, responsive, and customizable. Maps + navigation are top notch. Quality is high and battery lasted 30 days after first charge. Plenty of settings guidance online to adjust to your needs. Love the stylings over the traditional Fenix models. Feels a step above. If you’re on the fence, just buy it. Well worth the upgrades. Perfect for the backcountry, pounding the pavement, or looking good around the fire pit. ... show more

  • Hmm. Yeah. Well. Meh, yeah.
Years ago.. when I joined this.. unyion. I was told these are worn by the American military. I came to realize this was a joke on me and they aren’t that robust. The punchline was I watch MSNBC and I knew none of the current events. I should have stood oop. But.. I’m sad to say to you all.. I stood doooown. I bought this and now I feel like I have a third marriage with how much I’m spending on colored bands. ... show more
