  • Great watch! and also very good looking!
I had the Fitbit charge 3 for over a year and this Garmin is a so much better. It connects better to my phone, has better battery and way more features. The only downside so far is the solar charge, it does work but i still need to charge my watch every 2-3 weeks... Overall - I give this watch a solid 8.7 out of 10 ... show more

  • Incredible watch
This watch does everything it claims to do takes a little bit of getting used to with all the buttons where to find things but once you navigate to watch it’s fairly easy I keep this watch on 24 seven I would buy this watch again without hesitation I think the solar is a nice plus you’re still gonna have to charge your watch but the solar buys your time I keep a lot of the apps on so my watch power Last me about 11 to 14 days if I shut off the apps I could go 24 days without charging the watch since I work outside the solar buys me additional days great product job well done ... show more

  • Amazing watch
Awesome watch, the watch stays charged long. The features are great. Haven't got to test the solar charging out yet because all there has been for weather since I got the watch is rain. Upgraded from the first Gen Garmin Instinct.

  • Perfect watch for people who don’t like smart watches.
I like the idea of smart watches but never liked the designs much. This watch is just like my favorite G-Shock but with a lot of cool extras. The app is by far the best app I have used (Samsung & Fitbit). It looks awesome and is so light I forget it’s there, I sleep very comfortably with it on. The battery last for about a month, so yeah, it’s awesome. ... show more

  • Good but needs improvement
The is probably one of the best mid level outdoor smart watches you can get hands down. Compared to the Suunto 9 Baro this is a better watch overall. I don't like the Suunto 9 Baro very much. I haven't had the time to see how it fairs against the Casio G-SHOCK Move, but so far it looks like the Instinct Solar is the best out of the Instinct Solar, Suunto 9 Baro, and the Casio G-Shock Move (if most of the online reviews are right). In the area of sensor reading reliability and accuracy the Instinct Solar leaves something to be desired. The barometric altimeter is prone to being wildly off. I have had the watch display readings as low as 14ft at an altitude of 720ft where I stay at. The thermometer seems to be a little off as well, but I need to look at the watch a little longer to see what that is about. But even with the sensor problems this watch is still one of the best ones in it's class. Garmin should probably do something about the sensors (or related software). It loses a whole star for that. I'm still checking out the Suunto 9 Baro's sensors but based on reviews and personal experience they are seem to be better. ... show more

  • Best battery life of any activity tracker and smart watch I have used, by far!
After a little over a month of use, I have charged this watch 4 times. During that time I have completed 9 or 10 activities with GPS enabled, for 30 minutes to a few hours each, and I have the sleep pulse ox tracking on. The battery life is amazing. Sure it is not as pretty a screen as others I have used, but it honestly seems more easy to use and find the data I am looking for with the interface they put together. The phone app has excellent reporting and details, and on a much bigger screen, so that is the better place to review details anyway. Overall, I am thoroughly happy with this device, with great battery, perfect GPS accuracy, and simple interface to use. ... show more

  • Bang for buck
I would have liked to have VO2MAX but not worth the extra money for the new model. I use the Polar H10 and the Garmin pairs like a charm with it. I don't use the phone notifications on it nor SPO2 monitoring while sleeping, the battery last two weeks with exercising for 30min x5 per week. Using the GPS will reduce battery time. I moved from Polar to the Garmin and I am very happy with the product. ... show more

  • Arrived used, dead, and without box and manual
I have owned several of these. They’re great, so I bought one for each of my sons. The one on the left arrived new in box and working. This one (camo) arrived as shown on right, loose and sliding around in non-standard box. It was DOA. The composite band was shiny — the way they get from skin oils after a year or two of daily wear. It didn’t come with a manual or charging cable, but I plugged it in to my existing Garmin cable for six hours. Still would not start up. ... show more
