Best depth finder for a kayak. I mounted the transducer through the hull using "duct seal" and it works perfect. Couldn't be happier!. Display is bright even in full sun. Holds the bottom reading accurately. Right to the inch. I put it in our pool. I measured it with a tape measure at 3 ft 8 in. The depth finder read 3.7 ft. Wow!. Can't get any better then that. I purchased this item for a friend for his small boat back in December 2023 on Amazon. The fish finder is superb. We usually use it to fish for goggle eyes and various other bait fish at night in deep water. The images are clear and accurate. We don't waste precious time fishing in areas where there are no fish. The depth sounder and GPS works great as well. I have a bigger boat, but if I did own a small boat, I would certainly be buying one of these. Great product for the price. ... show more

This is a great fishfinder with a lot of great features and comes with everything you need to get going, including lots of options for mounting the included transducer. The Garmin PLUS Striker 4, however, has a feature called Quickdraw mapping, which will create a contour map of your lake, pond, river, by gps and this is a huge bonus for us, so while we think this particular product is great, consider the PLUS if a mapping feature would be of benefit to you. ... show more
