We have many rose bushes that need to be pruned in the spring and throughout the year. My neck and back kill me by the time I’m done from bending over and standing up right for each of the plants.     • Excellent addition to your gardening kit.
This is probably one of the most practical things we've picked up lately. Pops together in seconds. Unfolds and folds very easily. When storing it, the bench has a very small footprint. Pop it open and you can use it as a little bench, knee stool, or step stool. Seems very very solid so far. Wife is enjoying using it already when she weeds some of our raised beds in the yard. I think this is definitely worth picking up if you do any sorts of gardening or are just looking for something to keep your booty off the ground when working on something in the yard. I love this kneeler stool and seat. Turn it where the seat is closest to the ground to use for kneeling while gardening, or flip it over/up where the seat is at the highest level to use as a stool for sitting. This was easy to assemble and took just a few seconds. All we had to do was flip open the legs (already installed) and push the 2 armrests down into the frame. I wish everything was that easy to assemble. The seat cushion and frame appear very well-made and durable. I love that the stool is collapsible for storage; all you do is squeeze the cross bars (they're on a spring) while folding the legs inward toward each other, and the bench will lie flat. Overall, this is a very nice and stable kneeler stool. I recommend it. ... show more

    • Small and unstable
This stool/bench is a great idea, and could be a good addition to the gardener's set of tools. The foam is thick and has good padding, and assembly couldn't be easier. Sadly, the shape is terrible. The curved design of the legs means it rolls *very* easily, so it's incredibly unstable. I have another kneeler that's got squared edges, and it's very stable and safe to use, even though the foam isn't as plush as this one. If I put any weight on the arms of this kneeler, it has a bad tendency to roll toward me or away, so it's useless for helping me get up off the ground (mobility issues demand help in this regard). The attachment points also wobble a lot, but that's more irritating than it is a safety issue. I suggest noting the measurements carefully if you're considering this kneeler. It's much smaller than others, and might be too small for larger frames. I'm 5'4", 136 lbs, and it's about as small as I'd want to go for ease of use. My other kneeler is a few inches larger, and a lot more comfortable for me. ... show more

While this is well made and easy to fold up, the rounded corners or the frame make it extremely susceptible to tipping over. I sat it on a flat, solid surface and using it for a seat, I felt extremely unsteady because it seemed if I leaned back even a little bit it would rock and tip over. Not as much of a problem if used for kneeling because your legs stabilize it. Maybe in loose dirt it would be ok as a seat. Before you decide on this one look at some of the other offerings and compare the shape of the corners of their frames versus this one. ... show more

My wife is an avid gardener.. she will spend HOURS pulling weeds and getting dirty outside. I try to support her doing what she loves, and this was a no-brainer since she's been complaining about her knees and back the last year or so. This year, she is due to have our son at the end of summer and so she will be heavily pregnant but I still want her to enjoy her hobby without straining herself. My hips hurt when I squat for extended periods to prune and harvest the plants in my vegetable garden. I've been wanting a garden stool for awhile and liked that this is useful for both sitting and kneeling. The pad is comfortable. We already had a kneeler seat much like this one, but since there are two of us in the garden, another one just made sense. When it arrived, we discovered it was wider than the other one, and more stable.
