So my young children are pretty rough on their switches. They use them a lot and over time, the slide on remotes that attach to the switch had all kinds of issues pairing and connecting. You'd slide it in and it wouldn't work or it would work for a minute and then stop working mid game-play. very frustrating. Anyway, I thought I'd give this thing a shot to see if I could address that issue and it turned out to work flawlessly. Make sure you follow the instructions on how to set it up in the switch UI, but this saved me from having to buy another switch. The only complaints I have are that the button layout isn't exactly the same as the switch on the right hand side controls, so that takes some getting used to, and the buttons themselves are a but bulky, but still a great value. ... show more

I've had it for a few months now, and this an AWESOME upgrade for using the Switch on the go. It's way more comfortable in my hands than the joycons, and the texture makes it easy to grip and hold. Feels very solid in the hands, and holds the console snug; I've never once been afraid it would slip out. The buttons are a little clicky, which has a nice tactile feel, but if you don't like audible buttons then it's just something to know. The six-axis and the rumble work good and haven't given me any issues. It's REALLY nice that you can charge the Switch through the USB-C while it's docked into this gamepad. (Quirk to note: for some reason, sometimes if you power the console on while charging it through this gamepad's port, you have to unplug the USB charging cable for a second before it will recognize this as a controller again) My one small complaint is that the -/+/home/picture/turbo/auto buttons are all so close together. In a game that you have to constantly open the menu/inventory a lot, it can be a bit of a pain to try and fumble around for the button you want. TBH though, it's a pretty minor issue, and I got used to it after a while. Overall, a great addition for you Switch, and I definitely recommend! ... show more

This is a great product. I just got it, so I can't speak to longevity. That said, this controller is robust, solid build, and great for holding the Nintendo Switch. It's far more comfortable in my hand's, no more hand cramps. If you are having connectivity issues (Not Working) continue reading. I've added a simple and user friendly fix. Thanks to Ace Evolution on YouTube for this fix. Instantly solved the pairing problem!     • A decent switch pro alternative that acts more like a steamdeck-like setup, but it not perfect.

Tested with a swith OLED. To set up: enable "Pro Controller Wired Commulication" in controller settings. System must be turned on to trigger a response, just like a pro controller, and works very well for what it is. The product feels good quality, and the sticks feel realy good in my hands, with no drift so far. I've been looking for a replacement that allows me to play handheld without my hands cramping up and this seems to fit the bill. Nintendo seems to only make products for child-sized hands, So this pruduct is perfect for me. The switch fits snug in the slide clips so it ain't flying out with riggerous play. What it is: -A controller sleeve acting as plugged in switch pro controller -The layout is closer to traditional controllers so keep that in mind. It's not offset like the joycons. -The buttons feel springy and responsive. Triggers giving multiple pressure points for precision. The sticks are bigger and more sensitive, making a satisfying mechanical 'click' when compressed. -The -/+ buttons are better situated; but, I accidentally tap Home and Share more than a few times. -has turbo and auto function buttons, for those that want them -the dynamic rumble feels better, deeper and not as loud. -The charge port makes it possible to play plugged in, but same problem as normal where it will pivot directly on the power cord. -It does add extra weight, so it causes fatigue with long sessions held up. -appears to be more efficient with battery. What this is not: -Their is no switch or operation system in this, only a controller sleeve. -cannot replace the joycons completely. Home button does NOT trigger system power. Still need them to turn on system or plug in cord to trigger response. -does not have amiibo reader -does not function like seperate joycons. All things considered this is an amazing product, but it's flaws do miff me something fierce. I do prefer this compared to standard switch set up, so I will continue to enjoy it. ... show more

So I have a four and a six-year-old that are a little rough on things. The original Nintendo switch controllers, and it came with were great, but stopped working. After about six months, the joysticks went bad. So we got these hoping this would be a perfect alternative Because they don't come off individually they look very solid. Very tough. So after receiving these, I was super happy with the way they looked. Couldn't wait to hook them up and give them to my kiddos to start playing. But we read the directions I even watched a tutorial on how to hook them up. Hooked them up, they worked for all of about maybe five minutes on one and the other one worked for maybe 30 seconds and then all the sudden the man you would be moving around on the game would just go whatever way he wanted and you couldn't stop him. You can press any buttons he would just start going so we packed them back up and we're gonna send them back. Like I said, I wanted to like these, but unfortunately they just don't work like they should. We will be returning. ... show more
