I am quite impressed with the build quality. I opted for the 68” cause I wanted to stay dry in downpours as I plan on taking public transportation to and from work. Construction quality is great. There’s no bend or flex in the shaft nor the umbrella spines. I love how clicking the button gives you this slow release than turns into a catapult. It really comes off as like a jet airliner ramping up the engines before takeoff. Functionality it works as it should. Keep in mind I did opt for the 68” specifically for its size and it kept me bone dry in a very hard but brief downpour. Clearly the rain clouds were not happy that I showed up carting this beast. One of my favorite features was the carrying case and straps. I literally wear this thing like a backpack while carrying my lunch and work materials to and from the job site. Without it I would end up treating this thing like a walking stick. It is very long. I would definitely be mindful of your size selection if you live in a congested busy environment. This umbrella commands space and if you’re gonna be that guy who shows up to the Prius party in your lifted big foot monster truck yah you’re not gonna make much friends. Though on the flip side, if you see someone cowering from the from rain, you can be that special someone to show up and save the day! G4 offers other sizes. Find what works for you.     • Good while lasted - Getting Better - Replacement Received!

Purchased the 68" double canopy auto open Umbrella for shade while golfing. Very happy with it for three rounds. However, during the 4th, the pin (rivet) that holds the spreader bar connected the central riser to the actual rib fell out on rib side. Have reached out G4Free (manufacturer) to see about their 1 year warrantee. Hope they can make it right. Really do like the umbrella and how well it tolerates wind. The good news is the canopy did not rip or tear after the pin came out and the caddie opened the umbrella. More to come.... Here is the 1st Follow-On: Yes, was contacted by the Vendor within the 48 hour window as stated as policy. They simply asked for pictures to confirm the failure. Was able to provide very easily via my phone. Shortly there after, received an apology for the inconvenience and a statement that a replacement would be sent. Just asked for address and phone number to ship. As of this writing, awaiting the replacement. If received within a reasonable time period, would believe that G4Free has done the right thing and honored their warrantee clause. Will update upon receipt..... 2nd Follow Up! All Good to Go! After receiving confirmation of replacement shipment and tracking number, a second , brand new umbrella was received as advertised. The warrantee process was fairly easy. Just had to contract G4Free through the proper process which the fine folks at Amazon helped me locate. At this point, have updated the review to 4 Stars. I would feel much better if I had used this umbrella before submitting this review; therefore, the review is submitted conditionally, provided there are no unpleasant surprises upon use. I ordered the 62 inch model which is larger than standard umbrellas and is expected to give me sufficient coverage, but not the largest size available. It is very attractive, appears to be well-built, sturdy, and appears to open and close as expected. I like the handle, and the conveniently located button for opening the umbrella. The umbrella arrives with a cover which is good protection when the umbrella is not in use, and doubles as a handy carrier with straps attached.
