The bottom is waterproof and has been great at keeping the dirt/sand/water off you. The blue and white color looks great no matter where I bring it. This blanket is my favorite part of going to the beach. The fabric makes for easy cleanup. The size is great for 2 big beach towels to fit. Now I don’t have to worry about tar or who knows what getting on my towels. The thickness is just enough to where you feel protected from rocks or sticks protruding. I’ve used this blanket all summer and it’s holding up very well. The fabric seems very tough but comfortable to sit on even if you don’t have towels to go over. 10/10 ... show more

Comfortable cloth top with waterproof bottom. Got it for the beach and or lying on lawns at concerts. Have already done both and was perfect on few grass. This weekend, I took it to an air show -the “grass” was just a mass of those horrible spherical stickers. When I pulled them all out of the plastic side of the blanket, it didn’t rip or tear. Good as ever! Great size for one person longways; idk that I’d like to share with someone- you could, but turning it so it’s wide enough for two people would have your feet in the sand. I tried and returned 4 others that were thin, just all plastic, cheaply made, sent torn, etc. This one is really nice. I’m so happy. I keep taking pics with it in the frame. Lol (Oh-the review that mentioned the tie-carry-handle doubles as handcuffs was so funny…and right. Thanks for the laugh Reviewer!) ... show more

I love this picnic blanket. The bottom is plastic and water resistant, the top is a canvas-like facric. Looks really nice and not synthetic (which, I guess, makes it more prone to stains. I still prefer it over the cheap looking plastic-y ones).
