This will work with the stock scx24 esc/reciever just plug and play. It's got plenty of power and the slow crawl is amazing. I like watching the can spin.

This brushless combo is an absolute power house for any micro rig. The low end control and torque is unmatched for the size IMO. Don’t hesitate to pick one up and take your micro rig to the next level!

Doing work but make sure you look at the bec voltage before you buy. Would be nice to have the 8.4v

    • Mediocre product quality
The product came with no hardware to mount the motor or the motor mount. That should be a given. 6 screws to mount them both. I had an upgraded motor, from furitek, so I have to get some screws to mount the micro komodo. Motor mount fit on the transmission was terrible. It didn't line up at all. I had to do a significant amount of shaving with a file to make it work. Even then the screw holes were slightly off. The motor and esc seem to work fine so far. I have the full size komodo before on my first crawler, and the tegu esc. I expect the micro komodo and lizard to last just as long, but time will tell. Furitek makes solid products, but the attention to detail on this kit wasn't up to the quality I expect when spending 100+ on a brushless system for a micro crawler. ... show more

    • Motor and esc are nice, BUT....
I will start with, the product overall is very nice. This is my 3rd system for the scx trucks. However....I took apart all my trucks over the weekend for routine maintenance. While getting started on the transmission, I found the top motor mount screw on all 3 sets are rubbing the spur gear on stock transmissions as well as aftermarket transmissions. This did ruin the stock plastic spur on 1 of the trucks, the metal spur gears are worn but still usable. I may be required to use a larger pinion gear to clear the spur properly. I recently got into rc and I’m not about to played like a damn chump when my rc friend comes showing off all his fancy stuff, so I started building this little fun Haver body and needed a motor and esc. I went to the local hobby shop and grabbed the owner by the collar of his shirt and screamed I NEED THE BEST DAMN PARTS YOU HAVE. He looked my right in the eyes, said release me, reached down and produced this little combo, then slapped my across my manly, sculpted face and said THIS IS THE BEST WHORE, GIVE ME MONEY AND LEAVE! When it comes to these kinds of mods on these little cars you have to know what you are talking about. There’s no instructions but it’s not very hard to find out all the info you need on installation or what you have to do to make them fit. I have 4 off these and never had a single issue! The pinion gear has to be installed and “MESHED” properly for you not to have issues. Guarantee that every bad review was a major lack in knowledge. Furitek is top of the line in the crawler world for motor. Get one you will not be disappointed! If you do end up with a defective part they ship you out a replacement right away. I had a power wire with a bad plug and they 2 day shipped me a new one no questions. ... show more
