I set my unique code, it worked several times before I locker it on my trailer. About 3 weeks later I tried to remove it and the code didn't work! After trying many times, I got out my hacksaw and it was easy to cut through. After I cut about 3/4 through I hit it with a hammer and it broke into at least 4 pieces. For about 20 bucks It seems to be a great value. Hoping that the combination lock holds up to rain. The cover appears to fall off easily, but overall good for the price.

I purchased two of these one for each of my Boats. They work for sure, and are definitely a deterrent. The negative side of it is that it is somewhat cheap in nature and the rubber cover falls off very easily. I had one of these on one of my boats for about a week in a parking lot at a lake, and when I came back, the rubber cover was gone. When I opened up the second one and messed with it a little bit, the rubber cover easily falls out. as far as being able to set your own combination/that is very easy. I do not think that these would be easily removed by a thief. They are a good value for the money. I originally ordered one in yellow and one in gray and if I had to do over again, I would order both in yellow because the color is a deterrent and visible in the parking lot . ... show more
