  • Not a good choice if you want monitors to be side-by-side
I purchased this for my dual-monitor setup at work. I have been using the Jarvis single-monitor arm at home for about a year and love it. With such a quality product, I did not even consider the issues that I encountered with this dual-monitor arm. The build quality was the same, great. My issue is with the limitations on positioning the monitors. Even with relatively large 27" displays, it was impossible to have them side-by-side without them extending more than a foot over the desk towards you. It seemed like the monitors had to either be far apart, extending over halfway over my desk towards me to have their edges be together side-by-side, or the arms were extending off the back of the desk forcing it to be kept about a foot off the wall. There was just no way that I could arrange the monitors that I could actually use them. At this point I am trying to return this item and simply replace it with two of the Jarvis single monitor arms I have at home. I can spread the bases of those apart so everything will fit perfectly. Don't get me wrong, this is a very well built product, you just need to be aware of the positioning limitations of it! ... show more

  • Incredibly Fast Shipping, defective Product
I recently purchased adjustable office desk legs by Jarvis and was really excited to try these out. Order them on Friday evening, they shipped on Monday, I received them on Tuesday. Amazing. I open the box and can’t find the instructions. No problem, found them on their website I attempt step one: “attaching the Clamp Mounting Plate to the bottom of the Arm using three(3) Hex Screws” It turns out the instructions weren’t the only think they forgot. They forgot to thread the holes on the mount. I spent about 8 or 9 minutes fruitlessly trying to screw these hex screws in before noticing it was impossible. I’ll give their customer service a call in the morning, but what a waste of time. It might be worth it to go with a more reliable company like human scale. Certainly more expensive, but what’s the point of saving money if they forget to include instructions or to manufacture the product correctly? ... show more

  • Sturdy and good-looking, but cheap weight tension bolt steel
The product looks very nice and is a sturdy mount. However, the bolt on the arm joint used to calibrate the monitor weight tension stripped the first time I adjusted it, using the provided allen wrench within a reasonable amount of force. I was no longer able to adjust the tension and my monitor was stuck fixed at maximum height, not at all to my ergonomic liking and essentially making the arm useless. I had to return the arm because of this. For the record, the device is manufactured in Mingbo, China, as printed in large text on the package. I would consider purchasing this product again if the steel used was higher quality or used a different tension calibration mechanism. ... show more

  • Reasonable design, careful of the adjustment range
Does a good job of supporting my 34 inch ultrawide monitor, and supports securely... but, overall, this is not a great design. I might have high expectations, but a few basic things come to mind: The range of adjustment seemed great, but... It actually adjusts from nearly flush to the desktop (who needs that?) to about 13" above it. That means I'll need to build up a foot for it to raise it off the desk, to make it possible to actually use it to stand. Maybe it's just me... but why doesn't the range of adjustment consider people standing? Is this to move from good posture to full-on deep-chair slouch mode? The cable routing channel is... weird. The top arm has a useful channel, but the opening is positioned so high up the back of the monitor that there doesn't seem to be a practical way to put cables through. I might cut the opening deeper down the arm, we'll see... As for the lower arm, the cable guide is entirely useless. It is supported by posts inside the channel, effectively narrowing the channel to just under 3/8" (I measured). That's exactly the thickness of my power cord. So, no other cords fitting in there, sorry if you want to connect your monitor to your laptop... The attachment knobs. They're fairly large diameter, which means when you try to mount them to a desk that has a skirt (99% of wooden desks) you're going to have a hard time - if you have enough overhang to get the clamp attached you've still got to have another half inch or so to accomodate the knob. Fortunately, they give you a "grommet" attachment as well, which allows you to drill a hole in your desk to mount it. Easy for me, but... then their tool storage (which was attached to the desk clamp) can't be used. Adjustments are difficult for the vertical angle -- if I want to tilt the monitor forwards or backwards. It likes to fall forward easily but tilting it backwards is very difficult. Obviously the weight of the monitor is the main contributor there but I wish the design considered this. Overall, I purchased this based on all the positive reviews. But, it saddens me to think of this as the pinnacle of monitor mounting. ... show more

  • solidly built but can't put desk up against wall now
This is a quality product and I was able to attach two 27" monitors to it and clamp it to the back of my desk without problem in about 20 min of effort. However, I have a very specific interest in mind, and that is to have my two monitors exactly aligned next to each other with no space between them at a height of about 10" off the surface of my desk. This product can do that for me, but when arranged that way, the supporting arms stick out from the back of the desk about 8" or so, and the monitors are arranged more towards the middle of my desk than I used to have them. So I can no longer set the back of my desk right up against the wall or set the monitors to hover over the very back of the desk. I suppose if I had wider monitors, the distance of my desk to the wall would be less. Just something to know if you are considering purchasing this item. Otherwise, a very solid product with fully adjustable up-down-twist, etc. that looks like it will last me much longer than my monitors will. ... show more
