  • Great little wine press!
Color: Green Size: 4.75 Gallon
This was my first year making wine and this little press worked great. The size is good and it made the process easy. The only thing I didn’t like was the assembly. Just a ton of screws to make the barrel. Not hard if you have a driver like I do, just a little time consuming. Easy though. I would recommend running a drill through the already existing holes. I had a couple almost split on me. Or just soak the boards in water first. It was worth the money. ... show more

  • Great press
Color: Red Size: 3.2 Gallon
This is a great little press. This year is the year for apples. All my trees were loaded. After making applesauce, I decided to make cider and freeze it. Don’t think I’d want a taller one. Did have hubby make me 8 more blocks Works great!!!!! Nice upper body workout. I bought the fruit chopper with it. That is the most tedious part of the job(cutting up apples) I’ve made 5 gallons and 3 stints. Gonna keep working my way through 10+ bushels of apples I found this easier to use than the hydraulic one I bought. Clean up is not bad. Bought and xtra bag ... show more

  • Great value for the price
Color: Red Size: 4.75 Gallon
A couple things to address more negative reviews: - Yes, you MUST crush or grind your fruit first! This will not work if you toss in whole apples. This will not work if you rough chop your fruit with a knife. CRUSH OR GRIND. That's not a flaw with this product, that's true of any pressing operation. You'll get little to no juice if you press the fruit whole. - The feet have holes in them. SCREW IT DOWN. Why are people complaining that the press spins around when they're cranking it? Set it up right and you'll have a great time. Ok, now for the review: This press is great value for the money. I get the 4 gallon one for $130ish. I was kinda scared to drop that money on an amazon product of unknown quality (c'mon, usually this stuff is crap) but I was in a bind and my grapes were getting overripe and the jelly bag I was using to "drip drain" juice out of the crushed fruit wasn't cutting it. It needs assembly out of the box, oh no, the horror. But first impressions were good. Solid steel acme screw, heavy cast acme nut, the base tray is about 1/8" stamped steel with some stiff backs welded on the underside for rigidity. All the wood is raw and bone dry, a few slats started to split when I screwed them on (even with the factory provided pilot holes). I would have appreciated if at least the slats were pre oiled. I got a 12 oz bottle of butcher block oil and the wood drank ALL of it. The bag is pretty good quality, but I've only press about 40-50 pounds of grapes through it at this point, we'll see how long it lasts. somebody on here said it starts to rip after 10 uses or so... My only real complaint (and I'm not even sure how it could be fixed) is that the powdercoat is getting chipped already on the wear surfaces. The holes in the nut where the handle goes in are getting chipped etc. One last note is to KEEP IT CLEAN AND OILED. After each use I take the whole thing apart, hose it down really well, and oil oil oil. you hope the exposed steel is stainless but I'm not taking the risk on a new tool, oil the threads, keep the water off it. I expect this press with last a long time with the moderate use I expect to put it through. I plan on pressing 50-60 pounds of grapes, maybe 100 pounds of apples, and some honey comb through it every year.... ... show more

  • I like this product. It worked well for the price.
Color: Red Size: 7.9 Gallon
I use this to crush grapes to make red wine. It worked well. Must bolt down to a plywood to keep it from tipping while you are working on it. You might also need to cut some more 2 x 4 blocks if you don’t have enough to fill up The basket.

  • Excellent press.
Color: Red Size: 4.75 Gallon
Got 10 gallons of muscadine juice squeezed last season and this made it easier than ever. Be careful and go slow and use the mesh bags. I do not think raw fruit should be squeezed without crushing. We boil our muscadines before juicing, which made it easier.

  • Terrible design, do not recommend
Color: Red Size: 3.2 Gallon
The design of the press is terrible. It’s so unstable and honestly poses a safety risk. First of all, it does not come with enough blocks to actually press anything…we had to find some wood and cut it up to make more blocks to even use this at all. Secondly, the metal pole does not attach it just kind of hangs in the hole so as you’re turning the pole to press, it constantly falls out which is a hazard. Third, the actual round center part that you put the apples in does not attach in any way so it just moves around in the base the whole time which makes everything so difficult to use. Giant waste of money, do not recommend buying this we used it once on 50 lbs of apples and I literally got one 32 oz Mason jar of cider. We used a friends press of a different brand on our remaining 25 lbs of apples and got five 32 oz Mason jars of cider. Half the apples, 5x the cider? Make that make sense. DO NOT BUY THIS PRESS it’s trash ... show more

  • 1st Impressions
Color: Green Size: 4.75 Gallon
Fresh out of the box, first initial review: seems sturdy, didn’t mind the assembly it was pretty easy. I went with the green, it looks great. Only 2 bummers: the trunnion’s paint is chipping off, I know it may not seem like a big deal, but it’s brand new. And the 2 semi discs are plastic, they’re the only plastic pieces, could have been out of wood in my opinion. Will update after 1st juicing. ... show more

  • Awesome for the price.
Color: Red Size: 4.75 Gallon
We’ve put 350+ pounds of apples and other fruit through this. Works great. Assembly is tedious but manageable. Use a hand driver to finish the screws to avoid splitting the wood as others talk about. Oil with mineral oil (food safe) before you assemble the slats to save time. We had no issues with splitting. We made a stand for our setup and I anchored the feet of the press. Great value. Use mineral oil on the bare metal threaded center part after it’s clean to avoid rust. ... show more
