We used the main garment of this for a Gandalf costume, which worked great. We ordered an XL for my 6'3", 160lb teenage son. The rope cinched in the extra room at the waist just fine, and the length made it to his ankles, which is what we were most worried about. I got the size Large, I am 5’7”, weight 189, it fits perfectly, the only reason I am not giving 5 stars is because is missing the Cross Necklace and I am going to wear it this weekend at the renaissance festival.

Do not purchase this if you will be going outside. this is for warm-weather indoor parties. It will Do The Trick. Accessories are nice but the main garment material is sheer AF and very cheap (I mean, c'mon - it's a 30 dollar costume, YGWYPF). Having said that, it's exactly what it says on the tin and isn't bad at all for all that. Just...wear thermals if you're not staying inside or uh...get something more expensive. My husband wore this for the Renaissance fair! Overall the material was thicker and great quality. I would recommend ironing or steaming before wearing because it is wrinkly when taking it out of the package. Dope costume for only $30. I wore this to Ren fest where it was in the high 80s all day. The robe is pretty thin so I didn’t get too hot. I love that it brought the rope and cross along with it. I’m 6’2 so I went with the XL and it fit perfectly

I don’t know where all the negative comments are coming from…this thing is awesome…and built like a tank. The material IS NOT the silky crap material normally used in costumes. Think of your graduation robe…or church choir robe…it’s that style material. It came with: robe, hood shoulder part (which I was looking at buying separate before buying the robe), actual rope belt (think of the type of rope used for tieing back curtains), and wooden cross on neck rope. The only issue I have with it that I don’t like…it is sewn as a tube at the bottom, so I cannot take fully extended steps without the material stopping my legs…I can take about 3/4 of a full step ( hope that makes sense). Would buy this again…just don’t buy a white one, unless you want to look like a Klan member. ... show more

Product arrived quickly, material feels fine enough for a costume, so on. Be forewarned, your hood may be in a separate package, especially if you ordered multiple products from Amazon at once. I ordered an XXL, chest is quite a bit tight compared to the looseness of the rest of the robe.
