I ordered the size I did (XL) based on my own measurements compared with the sizing chart. For reference, I am 6'1", 220lbs, broad-shouldered, and my height is fairly evenly distributed between my upper and lower body. The robe comes down to my feet and sits perhaps an inch if that off the ground. I can walk comfortably in it, but definitely could not run or take overly long strides. Also my feet occasionally catch the hem of the robe when bringing them forward, so I choose to shuffle my feet instead of taking full walking strides. The material, 100% polyester, definitely feels like that if you've ever owned anything made of that. It's not uncomfortable, but it is noticeable. The quality of construction seems fine, there are no loose threads or holes/rips. The color of the robe and hood are accurate and the rope belt seems durable enough. Overall, if you need a monk/friar cosplay I would definitely recommend this one! ... show more

Got this for night out at Medieval times with daughter and grandkids. Pretty flimsy fabric but good enough, endured a machine wash. Fit well (5’11”, 200 pounds). Wore thermal undies beneath. Recommended.

This was better then I expected. Material: burgundy cloth robe, with a separate cloth hood, cross, and belt made from rope. The cross and belt are simple and good. If you are wanting this outfit to last a while consider getting something to wrap the end of the belt so it does not unravel over time (see details below) Fit: Length- I'm 6 foot tall, athletic build, 195 lbs. The night I wore this I had on hiking shoes with a thick heal. The rob came down right to the top of my shoes. Fitting a perfect length. If you are shorter consider pins or staples to shorten the length. Girth- I'm fit and had lots of room. My suit chest size is a 41/42 and waist is a 32/33 if this helps. I assume (just a guess) someone that wears a 45 suit could fit this and still have room. If you have a belly, there too is lots of room. Sleeves are baggy as per style of a monk robe and stopped just past my wrist. I wore this with out the hood. In this fashion the neck is very wide and shows your t-shirt just as it should. I wore a black undershirt and got lots of approval. Hood- as stated I didn't wear it. Being in Southern California it was hot and I had face paint. I did attempt to put it on but the neck line seemed tight and I didn't want to mess up my face paint. Cons: Directions on how to tie the rope belt to look authentic are not provided. I did not have a problem with the belt, yet I can see it unravel with repeated use. Packaging: 2 reusable ziplock bags that make storage easy. Overall, Im very happy with my purchase. I bought the robes as a last minute costume. They arrived quickly and everything was just as it should be. They were a bit more "silky" than I expected and very thin but I still liked them. It came with the cross and the rope belt. Everything fit as it should. My two complaints, and they're minor are; 1. The hood, when down, kept finding its way from the back to the front, super annoying. 2. The bottom wasn't quite wide enough when walking. If I took a slightly long stride, I would it the fabric end and the same if I tried to step over anything. Otherwise these were great. ... show more

Product isn’t bad for the price. Material- is exactly what my window curtains are made of.. Necklace/cross- is waaaay cheaper then I thought. Rope- is actually not really a “rope” but I’d assume after trying on, it definitely is more comfortable then what a real rope would be. Outfit itself- I can’t walk at full “step length” kinda tight fit at bottom. All in all. Plenty of room in this garment for extra clothes underneath. It's thin material, but it doesn't breathe much. The burgundy is a nice color, but even after washing and ironing it was a bit difficult to get rid of the creases. I'm 5'9, I bought a medium one, it fits perfect. That's not the problem. I bought this for the renaissance festival in town and needed it by friday, the only one that would ship in time was the white one. It arrived in time, it fits, the problem is that these literally look like KKK robes. The hood is giant, and when I put the hood on it looks even more like a KKK outfit since the hood is pointy. I'm sure this was an accident, and they make these robes in many different colors. I'm going to wear them out regardless, and hope that the fact that I'm black will keep me safe from violent mobs. But if you're thi king about white I'd suggest red, black, or brown instead. I think these would look absolutely fire in red. If I dont make it home tonight, I'm leaving this review as a last note for my mother to know that I'm not Clayton Bigsby, or a blackkklansman.
