I only camp once a year. During the 362 days I'm not camping, I need to know my tent and all of its accessories are stored cleanly compactly, and conveniently until the next year when I need them again! The tent is new this year, and i want it to look like brand new when I use it again in a bit over 11 months. The compression sack is a perfect solution for me. It easily fits the tent, tin covering, and the tent spikes comfortably. The compression feature of the bag involves me to save about 6 inches of space, when I put it on my utility shelf in the garage waiting it's next to use in a year. The main reason I got the bag was in one of those type of people that will never get the bag in the original components it comes in. Also, when camping is done and quite frankly ready to get out of Dodge in the fastest easiest way To make sure that happens to have a storage cool they would allow me to pack up the tents in a reasonable amount of time if the folding and rolling of all the accessories is not quite on point. So I was literally every single concern that I had intense storage, and, as a bonus my tent is also orange and black! So, kind of look like they go together!! Absolutely could not be happier in the price is more than fair! Recommended for the camper, who realizes that things need to get put away, but it's not quite good enough to get everything back where it came out from! :-) The convenient handle at the bottom of the bag will allow for a quick grab and go, before a camping trip and of course after! As long as a product is used for its intended purpose, I have no reason to think that the bag will not last at least as long as the tent itself will! This has to be, one of my most reasonable and exciting purchases of the entire year! Update: this compression sack lasted one week long trip before the cinch string broke without the cinch string it makes it hard to compress. I ordered several sizes of this compression sacks notknowing what size would work for our Kelty sleeping bag. The XL was ridiculously big and had no effect. The LG also too big for a Kelty bag. When the straps were pulled at the tightest it barely compressed the bag. The MED worked well and is the one I stuck with. I even think a small might have worked but my son is the one using it and I wanted him to be able to easily stuff the bag into the sack. The quality seems good but we will do how it stands up to a week long backpacking trip. ... show more

Have used this on a 6 day hike in Wyoming and it preformed amazingly. It makes your sleeping bag half the size so you have more room in your back pack for other things. Heavy duty stitching and compression straps. Really easy to use.

Comes packed well, I steamed it and kept it in the sun a bit to remove wrinkles. This is middle school trip tested and approved, meaning they could pack the sleeping bag and pillow themselves WITH all the seams/straps holding up to many harsh packs/repacks. I love how easy it was to carry for adults to even our smallest kid. Photo shows it with a small pillow packed outside and towel/sleeping bag inside, straps held up. The large didn’t fit a regular sleeping pillow, but so impressed with durability/value and ease that we will probably get bigger size for family trips. ... show more

    • Very thin draw string. Very weak draw string toggle stopper.

Nice look. Great idea. The construction is flimsier than appears on the pictures, but is holding so far. The weakest part is the draw string and the plastic toggle spring stop. The string is too thin and the toggle stopper spring is too weak to keep the bag closed. I replaced both with a thicker string and a much stronger stopper. I used the RJ-Sport Tieless Elastic Shoe Laces that I got here on Amazon. Apart from these issues I wish they had an XXXL size available. The XXL size I got is a bit too small for the job. ... show more

It is a compression sac, I have had many. The problem with this is they made the straps too short. When the sack is full of say sweaters, you can not get the top, with the straps over the end of the bag…. I guess adding 6 inches of nylon strap cost too much…??
