Okay, the bottle has nice package, the color looks good for bourbon. The smell isn't bad but, it doesn't smell like bourbon. And it doesn't even come close to tasting even like a cheap bourbon. To me it tastes more like a flavored syrup you would add to a fancy cocktail. Definitely not worth the price. Skip the non alcoholic bourbon & drink a non alcoholic beer instead.     • Waste of money!! Should be market as NA spiced rum!!
This is my first NA spirits of any flavor. Waste of money!! I’ve enjoyed NA beers that more resembled the flavor of beer than this resembled bourbon. I get it for those folks desiring a mocktail with no alcohol, but this should have been marketed as a NA spiced rum instead. It’s sweet, with spices of vanilla, cloves & cinnamon. I was hoping for something resembling bourbon that I could use to extend my happy hour without adding more booze. Hell I can buy a handle of Evan Williams for less than a bottle of this crap!! My one star rating is extremely generous and hoping they’ll change this to a NA spiced rum, if they do I think they’ll increase sales. ... show more

    • A Great Alternative
After leaving alcohol behind 6 weeks ago, I started looking for a good alternative. You see, I love happy hour and especially the glass! I have some awesome cocktail glasses. I tried several non-alcoholic spirits and finally settled on Free Spirits. Some were too weak, some too acidic and this was just right! I also use the gin.     • Too peppery
I din't really expect the product to taste like bourbon but I wanted to be able to like it as a substitue. However, the peppery element, which I think was added to give it an alcolhol bite, is too strong. I ried adding lots of ice and then water to try to find a decent balance but I was not successful. I think the product would be much better if the pepper flavor was greatly reduced to providde a hint of pepper rather than an onslought. That way, even if it doesn' actually taste like bourbon, it could be pleasent to drink. You might even think about adding some C)2 to provide a bit of a bite. ... show more

I really don't think this tastes like bourbon but I have managed to come up with some creative mocktails that are drinkable using this product. I do like the slight afterburn from this product and am generally pleased using it as a substitute when I'm not wanting an alcoholic beverage but if you're looking for a true bourbon taste, you probably won't be happy with this product. ... show more

I’m not one to leave a review, especially a negative one. I just started the NA lifestyle and was missing my occasional bourbon. When I saw this I was pumped! I read the reviews and still bought it. I should have trusted the reviews. It was awful! I even mixed it with some Diet Coke and I could even finish the drink. I was hoping sooo many hopes that this would be good. Now I’m waiting for a couple other brands and hoping they taste way better. Until then I’m back to drinking my NA Busch Lights. ... show more

No, it’s not bourbon. It’s not as mellow or warm. And it doesn’t have the buzz. Of course it’s not the same! But it doesn’t need to be. For me, it fills a rocks glass and offers a bit of heat (jalapeño?), some spicy, citrusy complexity, without any cloying sweetness. I actually quite like it.
