  • Durable and perfect for people who are rough on footwear
Color: Tan(waterproof/Thick Fabric) Size: 9
My son is ROUGH on his boots - stomping and wading through puddles, lakes, and streams, running through dirt, mud, you name it. He's an adventurer at heart, and it's important that his boots be up to the challenge. He's also particular about the fit of his boots and footwear, so it should say that much more when I share that he's on his second pair of these, he likes them THAT much. These boots are true to size, waterproof (to a point - i.e., if you wade to the laces or past the top of the boot, your feet WILL get wet), comfortable (from what I hear from my son), and durable. They also don't seem to smell too much after heavy use – unless of course, the insides get wet. If that happens, your best bet is to drain the excess water immediately and then get them on a boot dryer ASAP. While it won't completely eliminate the risk of odor, it greatly reduces it (believe me!). Since they're leather, the tops do run the risk of shrinking up just a bit while drying (like any other leather item), but the soles are very well made and help maintain the shape of the boot, thereby not affecting the size enough to be an issue. I should note that the traction on the soles of these boots seems to be fantastic too, even in slippery and wet conditions and on logs and rocks. All in all, these boots are the full package and deliver the same great results that other much pricier options offer. I highly recommend! ... show more

  • Great value for the $! Returning customer!
Color: Tan(waterproof/Thick Fabric) Size: 11
While working in the construction field I was looking for a pair of everyday work boots that provided comfort, traction and value. Quick Amazon search popped these up and I decided to give them a shot being only about $60. After about 14 months of moderate use they held up fairly well and only real reason I’m getting a new pair is because of the seam separation on the right boot that would cause water getting in and unprofessional look. Old shoes still have some “tread” left and are mostly intact as pictures show and I’m sure if it wasn’t for separation I’d get full 2 years out of them. They are much lighter compared to my old Danner boots and feel very comfortable whether I’m walking, running, driving and have great traction on wet surfaces, especially polished concrete slab in shop areas. Working around water also wasn’t an issue and never had my feet wet. I also used them to go hiking and hunting few times and I gotta say they are a pretty good boot for the money. ... show more

  • Great but with hard work doesn’t hold up long
Color: Tan(waterproof/Thick Fabric) Size: 10.5
My fiancé works in landscaping 70 hours a week. We usually buy a specific boot that’s around $80-$100 depending on the sale but it wasn’t available when he needed it so we bought these. Mind you his other boots usually last almost a full year to a whole year. These only lasted 3 months before he was ripping out of them. Now we actually bought another pair because the price is fair and we couldn’t afford anything more right now so it works. He says they are really comfy and at first kept his feet dry. We did have a more wet season in Florida than usual so could be the culprit. He also works the goodness out of his shoes so not a lot is probably up to that kind of work. But this will be the last time we buy these just because for $30-$40 more dollars we can have something that lasts a lot longer. But for now we didn’t have that extra to pay. So the takeaway is they are great shoes if you need something cheaper. If your not in the elements might hold up a lot longer. Maybe you work outside but in a dryer climate could be fine too. Just keep this in mind- for the time he has been able to wear them he said they were really comfy just wish they were higher quality to last longer. Pictures are showing what they look like today now that we got his new replacement boots in. ... show more

  • Honestly, I expected worse, and got the best!
Color: Black(waterproof/Thick Fabric) Size: 10.5 Wide
I bought these because my old 5.11 tactical sneakers had basically worn down to walking on nothing, and I got them on sale for like $50, so I honestly wasn't expecting great quality from these.. I was so wrong.. first I've got to say, they are LIGHTWEIGHT, they feel even lighter than my regular shoes! Secondly, comfortable? I think yes! I'm not sure how they constructed them, but I easily an average of 8 miles a day in these 5 days a week, and tbh my feet don't hardly hurt at all! Thirdly, I don't know what kind of MAGIC they did to these, but they must've been enchanted with a +20 to sneak skill, because even on normally squeaky wet tile floors, THEY'RE SILENT AS THE NIGHT. @.@ honestly at first it creeped me out a bit, but now I'm so happy with the fact I don't dive like the Michelin man in a rainy day. NOW. FOR THE NEGATIVES. First, I admit I must've not read the description all the way or something, because I ordered the waterproof version instead of the breathable version. Now I know you're asking yourself "how is that a negative?" Simple, they don't fudging breathe at all! They're HOT! I used to not having stinky feet syndrome.. now I can't wear them for more than 20 minutes without needing a full fledged gas mask on before I remove them. Secondly, the pull tab on the back of the ankle is WAY too low. It's basically useless. And that pretty much sums it up honestly. At the end of the day, would I recommend these boots? Yes. They're actually really great, especially when paired with a set of elastic boot strings. ... show more

  • Great boots!
Color: Brown(waterproof/Thick Fabric) Size: 9
This is my second pair of Free Soldier boots. My first pair is for work as a fire inspector/fire investigator. The other pair is for hiking. Both pairs fit true to size and are super comfortable. Doesn't take long to break in. Get yourself a pair of these boots!
