Excellent boots, and a great company to deal with! I purchased these boots largely based on the advertised features(waterproof, breathable, and lightweight), as well as the many positive customer reviews of the product. When the first pair of boots arrived, they had a manufacturing defect where the left heel squeaked when I walked. At that time, both listed methods of reaching out to the seller(webpage & phone number) where inactive, so I contacted the company directly through the Amazon page. Free Soldier was quick to reply and offered what I felt was a unique and generous offer to credit me $20 for the defect. Although the offer was tempting, I needed these boots to be silent for work so I went for a replacement pair. The replacement pair of boots arrived in good time, but with another manufacturing defect- the sole on one of the boots was separating from the body of the shoe. Based on the many, many positive reviews of these boots, and also having tried the two pairs already, I had a good gut feeling that I must have unfortunately just been sent two pairs back to back with manufacturing defects. I told the company that I'd prefer to have them replaced than just returned for a refund. New Soldier sent me a replacement pair at no cost! The replacement pair arrived in a timely fashion, and they fit perfectly! And, after weeks of almost daily wear, they are performing great and as advertised- lightweight, waterproof, and breathable, and very comfortable to wear as an all day shoe. It's also worth noting that even though I had to send the first pair of boots back, before they were even replaced, I went ahead and ordered two pairs of pants from the New Soldier line, because I had a good feeling about the company's products. Both pairs of pants are a great fit, and very comfortable as well, waterproof, and breathable. One pair is regular weight and the other is fleece lined for the colder weather. Boots were comfortable as soon as I put them on out of the box, they've laced up nicely and have been a great set of boots till recently. After about half a year of wearing them for work every day the stitching holding the sole on has started to go, and the inside has started to tear from walking around in them. I will more than likely buy these boots again but will definitely be searching for a reasonably priced pair of boots that can survive the work year. All in all, I do recommend these. ... show more
