My friend had no experience in highlighting hair, but I needed her help with my own. I bought these so I wouldn’t have to teach her how to weave too, and they worked great! She used the teal (biggest), and for the most part, the highlights came out quite even and she made great time, for it being a newbie. First disclaimer: I am no professional. Just watched a bunch of YouTube. This was my first time foiling hair and I did it on myself so it was tough but these combs helped a LOT. You just run the comb through, grab the ends and kinda pull them down to get the separation you need. They were easy to use once I got the hang of it. My results are subtle as I mainly did the roots and I was nervous to put a ton of foils in. Since it was my first time doing it I used a very low volume developer and I did tone the roots a bit darker to help with the grow out and transition. I used the baby light comb on the top areas and the regular highlight comb on the lower sections. Overall the combs are sturdy and I'm glad I got them. ... show more
