I’ve been using a fossil backpack for over a year now and it held up really well to my abuse. I wanted to downsize because my kids are older and I just don’t have a need for as much stuff in my purses. Pros: it feels like fossil quality, which I’ve always found to be fantastic for the price you pay. I’m the type to carry one purse daily and only switch to smaller bags for special occasions where I don’t need all my stuff, so it needs to be solid and well made. This has plenty of space for all my little needs-wallet, first aid kit, hygiene pouch, pill container and all the other little odds and ends fit nicely with room to spare. It’s a classic black leather bag and looks nice and understated. Cons: the only cons are just my personal preferences. The little carrying straps can only be held in your hand or slung on your forearm, if you want to carry on your shoulder you have to use the long strap that came with and frankly digs in uncomfortably. I like satchel style bags but tote straps. But I knew when I ordered that that would probably be the case. ... show more

This purse has plenty of pockets, is not too heavy, can be worn as a cross body. Dress it up or wear it casual, it’s the perfect versatile accessory and the only style purse I purchase anymore. Finding it for this price was a huge bonus! Can’t go wrong with a classic brown leather purse from Fossil.

I love the look of the bag. It's really just the zipper that gets stuck repeatedly. I expected more for a $100. bag.

    • I love this Fossil "Rachel" crossbody ...

The media could not be loaded. I bought this bag to replace a similar Fossil crossbody that finally wore out. This "Rachel" bag is very similar to the one I replaced it with, except it's roomier inside, it has two outside pockets (instead of one) and the pockets are deeper (deep enough for my iPhone 15 Pro Max to fit without sticking out), and there are two inside pockets instead of one. The inside zipper compartment is about the same size as my previous Fossil bag. I love crossbody bags to keep my purse always close to me. Whenever I want to carry it by the handles or drape it at my elbow, I can carry it that way too. (My old Fossil bag was the same). Because of the colors, I can use this bag everyday. That was why I was first attracted to this Rachel bag. It's a beautiful black with rich caramel brown accents. The Fossil it's replacing was black, brown and tan so the Rachel was close enough and just a beautiful purse. I like leather purses because they last longer. I also like designer bags that I don't pay designer prices for. I got this Rachel bag for $100 off on Amazon and I got about the same discount for the old one I bought at a discount store.     • Exactly what I want and needed

I don't normally write reviews for products, but I just unboxed this and felt that I should say this: this bag is perfect for my tastes and needs. Color and material: The "Black/Brown" color has a black leather cow-hide exterior with a sturdy textile interior. True, the straps aren't leather but they're still sturdy (I have a bag made of the same material from my middle school years and now that I'm an adult, it still looks new) and no one would notice otherwise unless they felt it anyway. It came slouchy and lacking structure but I'm attributing that to the fact that to heat. It lacks studs/feet on the bottom, and while this would be nice, I don't mind the lack of it enough to knock off a star. I'll just get a purse hook. Authenticity: It's a real fossil product. It came with care instructions and for those unaware, Fossil changed the design of their key trademark (if you don't believe me you can check their website). Size: This LOOKS small but it's damn close to a Mary Poppins bag. I vehemently checked with their customer service representatives (through both call and email several times) and measuring their given dimensions myself to make sure that it could fit my iPad (6th generation, 9.7") with its case on, AND the iPad Pro 11, in case I upgrade to it. One customer service representative said it would fit the iPad Pro 11 (2020) but not the iPad Air 3 (2020), but another rep said it would only fit 9.7" iPads. I mention the iPad Air because on their website, it says that this purse is compatible with it, but that might be referring to the iPad Air 2 and has yet to be updated. (I know I sound crazy for being so thorough lol) I took what the second rep said with a grain of salt because my measurements showed that the iPad Pro 11 was nearly the same size as my current iPad 6th gen (case and apple pencil included), and sure enough it fits with plenty of room to spare for my A5 bullet journal, wallet, makeup, etc. However, don't expect this to hold anything bigger, like a full-size textbook, binder, or any A4 notebook. I would include photos for this review if I knew how (I can't see the option to on my page?), but I will update should my opinion change. ... show more
