    • Worked with Forscan - Reset my BCM and solved my blinker issue.
Had the left rear brake light and blinker stop working on my 2012 F150. I was also getting no power to the left brake light and left turn signal on the trailer connection. After making sure the bulbs and fuses were good and weren't the issue, I saw that a BCM reset fixed this for many people. While not on the official Forscan website I saw this adapter could be here same day and was just 20 bucks so I gave it a shot. The driver install failed the first time I tried to install it but then I plugged in the adapter and tried again and it installed on a Windows 11 machine. Forscan posted a warning that the adapter wasn't good enough but let me run with it anyway. I didn't see any problem running the software. In just a few minutes I was able to clear all the old codes and do a reset on the BCM. After that, all the lights were working perfectly again.     • Wrong website in Instructions
This product worked great. However, purchasers should note that the instructions reference the wrong website. The instructions say go to forscan.net. The correct site is forscan.org Lucky for me I was following instructions from a youtube video and zoomed in on his screen to see the correct site!

While not one of the "recommended" models, this one works well with Forscan for my F-150. I have been able to make all the adjustments i wanted with no issues.

    • A Must for Ford Owners
This tool was essential for diagnosing issues with my Mercury Mariner Hybrid. The tool I was using simply gave me generic codes which caused me to misdiagnose the issue. The problem I had was related to the high voltage battery and to properly diagnose it required Ford specific codes from the battery control module which this tool interprets. What I learned from this experience is that there is an entire set of error codes that are manufacturer specific and you need a special tool like this to get them. ... show more

All I wanted to do was knock my airbag light off the dash after installing some seats. Didn't support. Junk. Software was near impossible to download and barely got it "running" . Once it opened, I saw how trash it was. Dint waste ypur money. And fyi, I'm a Master Mack/Volvo Tech and can program pcms,tcms and ecus on most anything from small aircraft to old cummins. It's not an operator error, it's a program issue. Did hear of more success with 2016+ but cannot verify as I only saw the final product. But wrap up- if it cannot even disable an airbag light, it's not a "programmer". Was able to accomplish my goal with a moderately priced scanner I ultimately purchased ... show more

    • An inexpensive tool that works well
I ordered this adaptor for specific job- to turn off the tire pressure monitor in my old F-150 (I check the tires regularly and it was driving me crazy). The adaptor is easy to use- download the free FORscan program and a driver for the device and you are good to go. The documentation, however, is pretty opaque, especially in regard to obtaining a (free) two-month license or a (reasonable)permanent one to unlock important features, including the one I needed. It took a bit of menu navigating and reading between the lines to figure it out. It would be nice if FORscan would clearly state what you need to do up front and not so buried in menus. Also, be advised that there is no support for Mac OS- you need Windows on your laptop. I do use a Mac but fortunately I have a virtual Windows machine installed and that worked perfectly well. ... show more
