  • *Almost* perfect wallet...
I really, really like this wallet. I like it so much that I want to say that I love it, but I’m not quite there yet. Here’s why: It forced me to carry less stuff. Excellent. That part is working out better than expected. Aesthetically speaking, it’s beautiful. I got the black exterior with brown interior. Nice. Functionally speaking, it’s nearly perfect. It’s super slim, super stylish, super lightweight. Just super. The money clip takes some getting used to if you’ve never used one. I’ve been using wallets/billfolds with a standard cash pocket for my whole adult life. There’s something about a money clip that all at once feels cool, disorganized, pretentious, stylish. Weird, right? But that’s not the wallet’s fault, it’s mine. I like that if you’re as klutzy as I am, the contents don’t scatter across the floor when it gets dropped. My only real reservation is, strangely enough, also my favorite feature: the outside pocket. Why doesn’t every wallet have this!? If there’s one or two cards you use more than others, stick that puppy in the securely snug outside pocket and it’s SOOOO convenient. A little thumb action slides the card right out without ever needing to open your wallet. Awesome! That is, unless you accidentally stick the card *all the way* into the pocket. If (read: “when”) that happens, it’s still plenty retrievable, it just might take a little work. The once-convenient thumb slide no longer works when the leather has a grip on your card like a python on its prey, as only a small sliver of the card is accessible. So you pinch the card to pull it out, which works, but in order to pinch the card, one finger must go between the card and the wallet, which pulls at the stitching. I would imagine that, over time, if this happens enough, the stitching would start to come undone. A simple solution by the manufacturer would be a slightly shorter pocket: deep enough to secure a card, but short enough to retain a thumb-sized area if it goes all the way in. Or keep the current depth and have a semi-circular notch that exposes enough of the card for your big fat thumb. All that said, I’ve had it for more than a month now, and there’s presently no visible sign of wear. I highly recommend it, and so far it deserves the five stars I gave it. Fix that death pocket, and I’d give it six stars. ... show more

  • Looks great; works great; can be used creatively.
This is just what I was looking for. It was the kick start to clear out unnecessary items I had in my old wallet in order to slim down. As mentioned in other reviews, the pockets are tight but after a week or so they stretch just enough, making it easy to access your cards. I fit my driver's license and main credit card on the outside pocket, with 4 cards taking up space in the other two pockets. The other thing I do, which isn't recommended but it's worked well so far, is keeping my insurance cards under the cash I have in the money clip. The clip is very very tight, and I have not experienced the few small, thin cards moving around or sliding out in the clip. The cards have been tucked under a small amount of cash there, which may help keep it in place. The wallet is slim, it looks great, I've received many compliments on the money clip, and for a minimalist/slim product, you can find ways to make it work if you're having trouble giving up everything you're used to. ... show more

  • Sharp looking wallet (initial reaction)
Had the wallet for a week. Feels great to the touch. Clip works holding in nice, fresh bills. Not sure how well used bills will fare as the clip is tight (you're definitely not gonna lose your cash). Has four card slots. All are relatively tight. You can place two cards in each slot, but will vary on the type of card (embossed/raised card vs printed). I had trouble getting two embossed cards in one slot. Card slots are deep. I had trouble getting my cards out if pushed in too far. This may change once the wallet is broken in more. Happy with the purchase thus far. Sharp looking wallet. ... show more

  • I'm pretty picky about my wallet, and this is perfect.
- It doesn't hold more than 2 cards in any slot, which is great. It keeps me from carrying anything I don't need. - Love the colors, a nice, neutral grey and a crisp cyan. If I remember I'll update the color fastness. - Great leather feel, good stitching. Nice contrast-color thread. - Money clip is nice and hefty. The slight curve on the inside clip contours the pocket of the other side of the wallet- it doesn't add any bulk, and makes it easy to put folded money into the wallet. - Good packaging, came with a warranty card and a nice black box. - I don't think this has RFID blocking, but that's fine. If anyone wants steal my debts they can have them. My only criticism is that it's *very* closely the same width as the US dollar, which means it won't fit Euros quite the same. I'll fold them an extra time and shut up about that. ... show more

  • Disappointed; smells, looks and feels like PU leather lined in my opinion
I was really looking forward to receiving this wallet and upon opening the box I was immediately let down. The strong chemical smell associated with fake or PU leather came pouring out of the box ruining the anticipation of a nice wallet. The outside shell appears to be of high grade "top grain" cowhide leather and displays high quality craftmanship but the inner material lining is not the same. The feel and smell along with appearance indicate imo that this is PU "imitation" leather. A trusted leather expert had this to say to me "There is no reliable way to fake the smell of real leather. Faux leather smells like plastic. If you smell a plasticky, chemical odor, you can bet it’s synthetic". I agree with him. This wallet has a terrible plasticky, chemical smell from the lining. It also looks totally perfect with no imperfections and under magnification, no pores where hair once was. This totally ruined my experience and is yet again, forcing me back to my search. I will be sending this one back and trying again. ... show more
