I've used both bleach and blue and the blue I has to remove the cartridge and "swirl" it is the tank to get full use. Bleach dissolves fully without assistance

when I bought the system it came with a clear bleach cartridge. It worked so great that I bought one for my sister who's selling her condo. It worked so well, I bought replacement cartridges. The replacement was blue bleach. Terrible!!!! It swelled up and clogged the system after a couple of flushes. I eventually threw them away. I don't see replacement cartridges with clear bleach, only the blue. Bad business, unless the company starts coming out with the clear replacement cartridges ill be buying the tablets for the bowl. ... show more

    • Doesn't work with all toilets. Will clog/thicken with low use
I love the product when it works. Only 2 of my toilet tanks have the right inner workings to accept this product. I love that it doesn't hurt the other items in the tank. We have 4 bathrooms and the two toilets I have these on don't get used very often. The solution inside thickens and doesn't move properly in the water to make it to the bowl. If there are any tips on how to not waste the product and keep it liquidy, I'm all ears. Maybe merely adding water to the product. But, when I do open the top to add some water, the product oozes around the outside of the canister and gets in the tank, or on my hands. It stains when in direct contact. ... show more

Works good on 2 of my 3 toilets. My Toto brand toilet being the exception. The bowl does not fill up with water to its original volume, but I use it anyway.

Works as advertised. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 bc the cartridges appears to clump up around the slots for dispensing the cleaning agent. It doesn't seem to keep it from working and I'm not sure if it's normal, if I am getting old cartridges (I've had some cartridges that didn't clump) or if it's somehow related to me having well water. Anyway, every time or every other time I clean the toilet, I'll remove the insert, rinse it to remove the build up and place it back in the dispenser. Not a big deal. Every cartridge I've used lasted longer than a month. Overall happy. ... show more

Hard to tell if this product works or not! Our well is shared and the "agreement" with neighbor is to put bleach in the well once a year to kill any bacteria that may be lurking in our systems. I use the fluid master product as a little insurance that all of the bacteria in my septic system is not killed also! There is a "kit" available that mounts in your toilet tank and this cartridge is installed and with every flush a small amount of bacteria is injected into your septic system. As I understand it, a large amount of septic aid could give many serious problems. One cartridge lasts us a couple months but that depends on the number flushes. ... show more

The first time i used the 8202, i perceived nothing new except the color of the water. The bowl got dirty just as quickly as before. Then i decided when i next cleaned the bowl, i added around 4-5 oz of bleach and let it sit for several hours. Now the bowl remains clean for a longer period, In that respect i consider it worth it if for nothing else, the septic tank health. Pro: Keeps the bowl clean for a longer time, promoted septic tank health, it's not expensive. Con: The claims of keeping the bowl clean for long periods are exaggerated. ... show more
