Okay, so the wood is not top of the line quality, but it's actually better than I expected for the price. The hardware is simple and easy to install, and the finished result is just what I was hoping for. They look great in the space. I'd buy them again. Complaints about small details: mine do not sit exactly flush with the wall, because the cutout and the back, into which I assume the bracket base is supposed to slide, I think is not quite big enough for my bracket; as a result, there is a tiny gap between the shelf and the wall, but no one would ever notice it's there unless they were up close and staring at it. Also, I wish there was a way to secure the shelf to the bracket or the wall so that it would not be able to slide off the bracket. After installing the first one, the vibrations on the wall installing the second one caused the first shelf to shimmy forward on the bracket about half an inch. I just anticipate that over time with activity in the room, they might inch forward a tiny bit, and I will have to tap the shelves back from time to time. Having said that though, I have zero fear of that being a real problem or that they would ever actually come off. ... show more

I was getting rid of my bookshelf but I wanted to keep some stuff from it. The instructions were a bit weird when it came to the “positioning stickers” because I had no idea how to put them on the wall as there was no adhesive backing. I ended up just measuring out the spacing and it came out fine. The only other thing is that there are a few dents and scrapes covered up with filler. I was able to hide most of them, but there’s a rather large and obvious one I can’t. Overall, If you’re looking for a cute and quick fix, then these shelves will do the trick. ... show more

My biggest qualm with it is two major issues: quality of the shelf is pretty poor (feels like plastic) and the installation screws that came with it are absurd. Firstly, the rustic wood shelves have a carbonized black finish, which initially appeared appealing. However, upon closer inspection, I noticed some inconsistencies in the coloring and finish. Some areas appeared darker or lighter, which detracted from the overall aesthetic. Once you feel it, it feels like cheap plastic. I wish they at least polished it or put on a layer of sealant. It's not a deal-breaker, but it does make the shelves look less high-end. The installation process was relatively straightforward, with all the necessary hardware included. However, they included these drywall bases that are huge. It literally tears a hole into the wall. Actually, as I installed them, they tore a hole in the wall which I quickly stopped, repaired and replaced with my own drywall anchors. Once you don't use their anchors, it's actually quite nice. The brackets are easily installed and aren't too flimsy, but the shelf itself isn't too stable. I wouldn't trust more than 10lbs on this despite the description saying 33lbs. On the positive side, the size of the shelves is adequate for displaying small decorative items or lightweight storage. They provide some functional use in smaller spaces like bathrooms, bedrooms, or kitchens. The rustic design also adds a touch of charm to the room décor, which I appreciate. In conclusion, the Floating Shelves set is an average product with some notable drawbacks. The quality and finish could be improved, and the mounting drywall anchors could be easily improved, the brackets could be sturdier. However, considering the price point, they are a decent option if you're looking for simple and affordable wall storage. I wanted these to go above my 1 1/2 inch butcher block desk. I had purchased other floating shelves that were 2" thick and they dwarfed the desk. My boyfriend was able to install them in 1 try. I do get a slight downward pitch but it isn't impacting the decor I have atop them. I think if you were trying to set a marble on it it would be a problem, but I have picture frames, decor objects, and a vase and they are all perfectly fine and I don't even notice the pitch. ... show more

Was trying to find a shelf that can hold glass jars pretty well. These were reasonable and are still holding on after a month. Highly reccomend if you want to put slightly heavy stuff on it. Would not reccomend dishes but great for seasonings and 2 small glass jars 😀. installation requires a drill just so you know. Had to put the anchors for dry wall and drilled it in. Slightly difficult install if your new to using a drill and don't know how to align nails on the wall. Overall, happy with them hope they can stay holding on! ... show more

These are nice and worked for what I wanted. My only complaint would be that the “stickers” that are used to drill the holes, aren’t stickers. The directions say to peel the back off and stick to wall, so you know where to drill the holes. There is nothing to remove and it’s not a sticker. I had to use tape, and accidentally ripped one, but it still worked out and I enjoy the shelves. It was easy enough to install for the most part and they include everything (except drill And screwdriver of course) I needed up using my own drywall screws though, rather than ones it came with ... show more
